I wish I took a few more before photos, but as I was doing the sanding process of the step, I was hearing some rumblings in the sky, so I started to rush the process a little bit, but I’m still very very happy with the results. We’ll see how they turn out here in a few days and months to come.
My problem with these kits is in less than a year it's back to looking like crap. I went through all the effort and a year later it was looking even worse.
I guess you could do it every 6 months, but personally I'd replace the lens, you can usually find a rear end crashed junkyard car where it's been in an apartment parking or something with no UV deterioration.
I used the cerakote kit on my 2001 LS430 close to two years ago. It's parked outside and still looks great.
Cool maybe the kits have gotten better since the last time I've tried.
Great, now fix the thing where every 8th gen Civic driver drives around with the high beams on all the time.
Just kidding, that’s nice work.
Man those were some weak headlamps out of the factory. My dad had a brand new one and they were awful.
Nice job
Looks great did this on a '19 Cadillac XTS with less fog/yellow and came out like new.
Well worth the price and easy to do. Just make sure to follow the instructions.
I just watched a product comparison for black trim restoration/protection and the Cerakote brand won by a mile. They're up to something over there lol.
I just used the kit this weekend also. I couldn’t believe how easy it was and how great the results were.
Man in college I was going to start a headlight restoration business and never committed to it. It makes such a. Difference in both appearance and function of the headlights with such little work relative to the outcome. Great job.
Nicely done
What was your process. I need to do this on my 08 Tundra.
I used the Cetakote kit ~$18 at Walmart watched their video on YouTube and followed it as closely as possible. https://youtu.be/8CTVC9xqN8w?si=j6lxs8-S2MMWR_n5
Hopefully yours lasts longer than mine. Used the same kit on the same model car and it's already breaking down just 6 months later. I do park outside though
Yeaah the clear coat failed so Best bet is to put paint protection film over the new finish. Had good results even after 2 years.
PPF is the best for this!
Great job!!
