Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic removal from plastic

Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic removal from plastic

Hi everyone,

I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray coating on a new car and all over the black plastic trim pieces on the window.

Didn't notice as I was doing this in a shaded garage but seems to have left a bunch of spots on the textured window pillars.

What's the best way to remove it, and what is best to put on it afterwards?

Thanks everyone!

Did you buff it out properly? I use the same formula but liquid, to restore the pillars from all the thin scratches it collects. The same line has a 1 and done compound that has some abrasive pellets that could maybe texture it smoother, so the spray does not look that blotchy. I am not good with stripping chemicals so I don't trust myself with them and just let wax run its life when I mess up.

it should just buff evenly with a microfiber

I’ve done the same. Nextzett Plastic Cleaner on order as a result.

Are we not suppose to use it on plastic pieces?

Instructions say it's cool. I probably didn't wipe it off good or put too much. It's also slightly textured there....i don't see it at all on the glossy plastic trim.

If you did level the TW spray down well enough, I would recommend giving the plastic trim a light polish to remove the wax and any uneven oxidation there might be on the plastic to restore it, and then protect it again after with TW spray :)

Make sure you use a polish that does not stain trim.
