How do you make them not hit on you though. I tried to be nice and accidentally triggered a really raunchy scene that required participation. I was really trying to avoid that too lol. With that being said this was before some of the updates so maybe it’s been fixed? Everyone’s too damn horny in that campsite lol.
Usually you can kind of shut them down early on. Simple diagloue saying no, or just veering the conversation away from romance is always an easy solution too. Unless you are being triggered by the companions early attempts at flirting, it really isnt as bad as people seem to think it is.
Yeah, people laugh at how horny the characters are, but in the game each make one pass at you. And if you say no, they accept it with grace, and it never comes up again.
I always go for the paragon playthru so I try to pick the nice answers. I genuinely don’t know what I did to trigger this specific sex scene. I forget his name and don’t wanna google it, but it’s the Druid you rescue that turns into a bear. I was legit just being nice and he’s like meet me in the forest and I thought it was another part of his quest. Nope.
Okay Halsin is a fair complaint. He is notoriously one of the easiest romances to activate. Yeah, I usually have to do extra to shut him down. You can try looking in the options menu. There is a way I believe to limit sexual content in the game but I forgot the exact details
I don’t necessarily oppose sex in videogames I was just genuinely thrown off by the fact that it seemed to come from out of nowhere. It was very jarring, like one second I’m exploring and getting into fights and next it’s like oh hello. I’m glad to know it was only partially me being a moron that set that off lol.
It would help if you were more specific about what you meant.
You can't stop characters from having a crush on you, and some of them will ask you out instead of waiting for you to make the first move, but you can turn them down when that happens. I'm not sure what raunchy scene you're talking about here.

Astarion flat out says "I'm talking about sex, just so we're clear."
Karlach initially says "I want to ride you 'til you see stars", but is also the only one who has a fully ace friendly romance, because it's possible for her to be untouchable the whole time.
Shadowheart you have to spend almost 3 full Acts romancing.
Wyll needs to put a ring on it first and even then it's entirely fade to black.
Halsin makes no secret about his intentions and Minthara is even less subtle.

Sort of.
She'll have act 1 camp dialogue about it if you two are dating, which established at the tiefling party. She'll say something like 'I want to kiss you, do you think you can find some way to cool me down?'
You can throw a water bottle near her (soaking her but not hitting her with the bottle), hit her with create water, or iirc take an elixir of fire resistance. Could be wrong on the fire resistance but I know the other two work. Might be that you can also just hit her with an ice spell, can't remember.
Then you can get a kiss in. Otherwise you have to wait for act 2 to initiate physical contact.
Someone'll correct me if I'm misremembering.

isn't shadowhearts the opposite? Her reasoning is a lot but the whole point is you're not suppose to pry. You just sort of silently accept her as she is. So that'd be a picture with zero words lol
Shadowheart's is just part of the meme format - one of the girls typically always has a wall of text specifying her demands for dating her. You could choose to read it as all the stuff included in her character arc and companion quests in order to fully romance and redeem her.

Is it possible to romance Minthara in a good run?
Yeah but but without that Grove scene the romance is underwhelming, unfortunately. It triggers after beating Orin's ass and gets no special scene or even barely any interactions.
She told me we gonna be together tonight, I put on my sexiest panties and nothing happened. Had even to Google if it's a bug)
Her romance can trigger before Orin actually. The only requirement is having decent approval with her, and the post-Ketheric conversation where she sits on the throne basically provides the full amount if you pick certain options. She started hitting on me the moment I stepped foot in Rivington.
I'm still disappointed in the lack of scenes though. Her post-Orin conversation is one of my favorites in the whole game, but it isn't even a romantic one.
She hit on me immediately after I beaten Orin and broke up with Gale, good to know it can be a bit earlier. But unfortunately she still lacks scenes and interactions, I didn't even get any meaningful dialog with her before the final battle (while you're in the prism).
That was one heartbroken run, yup
I was still romancing Shadowheart when she hit on me, which I almost said no to but then realized I was coincidentally standing there as a female Lolth-sworn vengeance paladin. It's like it was meant to be.
I've annoyed myself in general by having my current favorites be Minthara and Jaheira, since I can't recruit them for half the game and they have less content than the origins.
