No judgement please, i just thought this was a funny story to post. I’m doing Arcane Tower for the first time because i missed it in my first run and I looked up a guide for the mushroom parkour part. My dumbass kept using Astarion to jump and it wasn’t working 😖
I don’t have a screenshot but after everyone else successfully jumped he just stood there like- 🧍
Turns out my man has a terrible jump stat 🤦♀️
Long story short if i hadn’t had a jump potion on hand i would have had to send him back to camp.
I did that on my first run, now I just send one single person to power the elevator so the rest can go through the front door.
This is the way
Str determines jump. Rogues have never lifted a day in their life. Especially an astarian rogue
Hey now, rouges lift plenty. It's just normally pouches of gold or keys to get into places they invite themselves to
All the more reason to say they defo can’t use their legs for anything that isn’t running away after being caught
And ironically there's a nice weapon in the tower that he can dual wield for a permanent high strength stat.
Omg where?! i always miss weapons in bg3
In one of the corners of the top floor there's a special stool. Break it and it creates a club of hill giant strength.
That's part of why I just send one person alone to do the tower. There are no fights (not unless you FAFO on the top floor anyway) so I just send one man/woman with either enhanced leap or misty step to take care of things there while everyone else hangs out at camp.
Same but I leap from the floor you enter to the bottom by the tree with feather fall and work my way up from there. Seems to be the best way not to miss or forget anything and feather fall is cheap.
I've always done it that way and only very recently discovered the mushroom parkour lol.
There actually is a fight there in most of my runs these days, with an extra encounters mod.
