Too many videos like this. Perhaps storm drains could have a design with smaller holes..?

Smaller holes 🕳️ drainage time extends thus creating flooded streets

Not to mention you need the holes large enough for debris (leaves, twigs, etc) to go through or the drain doesn't even work one bit.

Also if mother ducks weren’t so good at putting their ducklings lives in danger, it will help 🐥

A small inconvenient act of kindness by us can mean life or death for our wild friends 💜 they remember your kindness and your care. I promise.

Nature awards 500 karma points (life karma not Reddit karma) to the kind-hearted soul.

It started getting a little awkward when she kept saying reunited and the guy kept talking to the old man.

Awesome video but do people really have a net in their cars these days?

tru-self

I was thinking maybe it was the old guy’s net? Considering only person around

I would have been so proud of my dad if he did something like that, but he never would have.

Always keep a big net in your car for emergencies.

It’s wild that the mother had already cut her losses and was walking away without half her babies.

Nature is harsh.

nopalitzin

Well, no. She walked away from the humans but also she kept her distance from the drain to avoid other ducklings from falling as well.

Humans anthropomorphize.

VibraniumRhino

I’m not anthropomorphizing, I’ve seen many animals literally make the decision to leave the baby behind in order to survive. They can always make another one.

It is pretty wild. I know the veil of civility is thin, but do you think human beings would react similarly given enough time without our current societal support systems?

I saw an elephant pull out a drowning deer from a pond so ...maybe?
