Need new Bears news sites

I have been reading a purported bears blog for a while now and I am pretty sure at some point they switched to AI articles. I use AI a bit for drafting and there are signs in the way their blogs are formatted that suggest its AI. Then today I read an article about how the Bears would be going to the "tournament" and it was clear that is what they are doing.

Can you all suggest some better outlets to get my Bears news?

I would have recommended Da Bears Blog but they just were acquired by Sports Mockery which is notorious for AI crap.

Windy City Gridiron attempts to be rather informative and not AI written. Then Bears Wire has something good because it is the subsidiary of the USA today.

Unfortunately Courtney Kronin is still one of the best go to for news and generally gets pay walled by ESPN+. Which sucks if you don't have say Hulu or Disney+. Then you have the Athletic and Chicago Tribune for a lot of things.

Take Courtney article. Throw it in an internet archiver. Read article without sub.

Sports Mockery often recycles articles from the Athletic and other columns . Reading their content is pretty much a waste of time.

If you want actual news content written by people who know what they're saying, read stuff in the Tribune, Sun-Times, The Athletic, etc. Most of these blogs are content aggregators, AI slop, or clickbait.

Ew. I couldn't suggest the Tribune or Sun-Times less. Unless you want raw, certified Boomer takes.

I'll save you a click, they're probably complaining about the players effort.

What is it about this teams recent performance would lead you to believe questioning the players effort is wrong or a bad take?

Because it's disrespectful. Every time they step on the field they're putting themselves at risk of serious injury. It just shows a poor understanding of how hard it is to even make the team.

Everyone on an NFL roster puts in more effort every day than the old heads writing for newspapers have in their life. The rare guys that are half assing it wash out of the league so fast.

Yeah, I’m sure a player that walked off the field while the play was ongoing will wash out any minute now.

Criticism is warranted sometimes. Just because they play a rough game they don’t get a pass. No one is forcing them to do it, and most of them are very well compensated. Most make more in a year (or a single game even, including the player I’m referencing) than I will in my entire lifetime.

Putting in a solid effort on Sunday is easy because the actual game is fun and the money is insane. But what about effort in practice? Effort in the offseason when no one is watching. Effort in the film room? Effort when it comes to being a leader?

Well that's why guys with insane athletic gifts ike Chase Claypool and Kadarius Toney aren't on NFL teams.

I don’t know how anyone could spend more than 30 seconds on the Sportsmockery website and think it was real. Their article titles are literally “BREAKING: Micah Parsons to the Bears”

My problem with Windy City Gridiron is that half the articles are just ads for their podcasts. Two paragraphs of podcast preview then a link to said podcast. I don’t want to listen to another podcast, I’m on your website to read.

In season though, I do enjoy Sackwatch and their general Bears coverage.

I mainly read the Athletic though for the best Bears reporting.

I don't know with new head coach Benjamin Johnson the Bears of Chicago could be headed to the tournament this annual. They could even win the national series.

The truth is, there is no point in reading bears articles. You can just watch the press conferences with the players. 99% of articles are just taking one sentence from a player or coach, out of context, and crafting a shitty and hasty article around the quote. Just find the actual source information. Most sports media is a total waste of time.

AM 1000 ESPN out of Chicago. Download the app. It’s free. Some of the guys doing shows have podcasts and even write stuff for ESPN. Courtney Cronin (not sure of the spelling) is a good follow. She covers the Bears for ESPN.

I will give Luis credit, I don't think he uses AI. That said, he could probably benefit from it. Don't get it twisted- he's a terrible writer. Something something Taylor Swift reference blah blah. We'll circle back to that later. (Spoiler: no we won't)

I've been reading Bleacher Nation for at least a decade now for their Cubs coverage, but man their Bears coverage is shit. Luis seems like a good dude but he is a terrible writer.
