New Stadium survey sent out

Did anyone else get the email today with a survey about the new stadium? All I can say is good luck with the seat license and ticket model prices they’re looking at. You’re going to out price the majority of the fan base.

I also received the “Chicagoland” stadium survey. All pricing was stated as hypothetical but you’re not wrong.

A lot of legacy STHs are in for a shock when they realize the tickets they’ve had since Wrigley won’t entitle them to anything more than first in line status to buy “Seasonal Membership” i.e buying PSLs as well as tickets for new seats.

In fact, I’m guessing all existing STHs are gonna lose it when they realize they’ll be required to buy PSLs.

I don't think too many will be shocked, as SF, LV, and LA have all required new PSLs. The shock might be the lack of priority given to get new seats. I'd like to think the Bears will sell tickets as:

  1. Current PSL Holders get to pick new PSLs in order of how long they have been PSL holders (Bears might pick price of PSL, or not really have a priority)
  2. Current non-PSL STHs get the PSL option
  3. General public get the PSL option
  4. In the rare chance that the Bears offer non-PSL STs, then repeat 1-3
  5. Assuming some single-game tickets, I'd like to think the Bears give 1-2 above who don't get PSL the first option for season 1. I would also be surprised if this happened.

I fear the Bears will bungle this rollout, and there is no priority given to anyone who has STs today. Note, that's just fear, as it would be a major screwup on their part.

I got it. They basically asked about pricing for every possible section in the stadium.

Both sidelines of the lower level will likely be 'Club' seating, the only 'normal' LL will be in the endzone.

They might even have all-inclusive upper level seating, in the $200 range.

Yeah the inclusive of food and drink in the upper deck options surprised me.

Like what are we talking about sodas/hotdogs or something more...

Something tells me they aren't offering beer included.

If they did I'll make sure they lose money on my season ticket purchase

I’ll join you with that!

Sadly, they will always have buyers. They'll price out a ton of fans, but they will definitely not lose any money or STH. Just the greedy nature of the business.

The proposed PSL pricing is absurd. The PSLs I paid $3,850 for 20 years ago are equivalent to the $50,000-60,000 range for the new place. I'm out.

Can you share the survey with us?

You’re going to out price the majority of the fan base.

Like they haven't already?!

I am incredibly privileged in that my Packers fan wife bought me 30th birthday tickets in the south end zone, 200 level, for the Bears-Packers KissinTitties game where we clinched the NFC North...and that was only because she was working as an LMT for a chiro on Michigan Ave and one of her clients' dads had season tickets and sold them to us at face.

That's the last time I've been to a Bears game and I'm convinced it's likely the last one of my life at the way tickets and everything else are trending.

Even at face was still nutso expensive imo...but I can't talk, I spent $670 each for Blackhawks standers back in 2010...but that's a whole other story. I don't regret it for a second, even though I'll never spend anywhere near that much for a ticket ever again, that's for sure. 1 and done, justified.

These are all "for research purposes only", as the top says, so nothing official, but here's sample:

Based on what the Rams did none of these numbers shock me at all. Not saying they are fair at all, but that’s what the market will bear so they will charge it and get it.

Funny they were using some kind of dynamic survey, the membership fee for the upper deck never got that high with my options.

Probably adjusted after the first time you say I would not pursue any of those 5 options

How about other people get a shot at season tickets than those folkswho've had them since dirt was invented?
