First of all, for those unaware, Helldivers 2 will release on XBOX Series X|S on the 26th of August!
The removal of exclusives is always good news for consumers, and we wish to welcome all our soon-to-be-recruits to the Helldivers forces (and to r/Helldivers)!
Unfortunately, this announcement has also drawn the attention of certain individuals furious at the notion that people with a different console also get to enjoy a videogame. That said, this opinion is mostly circulated by a very tiny group—essentially clickbait and ragebait—and is in no way a broadly held belief.
The XBOX release is widely seen as a positive thing. We ask that you don't give these people attention and that you do not amplify their toxic message, even if it is to ridicule them.
Do not make posts about the topic, blowing it out of proportion in the process.
Posts about console wars, XBOX haters, and other opinions of similar topics not actually related to Helldivers itself will be removed. This also includes articles from gaming websites about it.
To reiterate, do not spread toxicity. Focus instead on celebrating the arrival of our new comrades!
