Active offensive stratagems are like scissors.
Don't run with them.
If no run then how throw far?
Always dive and run 2 times more dangerous two times more distance
It doesn't matter if I run with them. Enemies always seem to know exactly when I've put the last input in and act accordingly.
Me as a bot diver: The rocket know where you are at all times.
If not run, why run shaped?

So much this. Running around with eagle strats is a noob mistake.
Unless it's the Eagle Strafing Run. Those have such a precise area of effect that you'd have to be 110% dead on to kill a friendly with it.
Counterpoint: those Eagles from DSS Eagle Storm are on Super Cocaine, though. They'll nail you with Strafing Run for existing within five metres of a bug, bot, or squid. I've even been shot out of the sky by one while I was hover packing.

However I have now been laid flat by the charger chasing me and the results are the same.

Don't play the blame game, focus on getting the fuck away from it first. I wish the people that yelled at you will learn this when they too drop theirs, but I don't normally have high hopes for droppers like this

I prefer the modest Gatling barrage. Its setup time only allows for "So, uh..." part.

It's like semi-common occurrence and accepted causality at that difficulty, hell its why I exclusively play it since everyone usually on there understands You WILL DIE, and maybe even all die like the DoW opening as the objective is completed but all lives lost.
Honestly I could believe how much easier 10 is than 7/8 just because of player base. I wish I had made the jump sooner.
In my experience no one blames anyone, but I'm playing fairly comfortable on diff 10 so I'm probably a competent player, still, those times that TK occurs what I've seen is people having a chuckle at it and continuing with the mission
Ya, 1 ill timed team wipe can sink an entire mission.
Counter point, I've had total squad losses save a mission. Sometimes the team gets stuck reinforcing people one by one (especially on flag objectives) and you just get ground up as you drop in. A total reset lets the squad start fresh and regroup.
I just started playing this week. I was level 12 and accidentally killed my level 7 teammate, respawned them. This dude proceeds to kill me and take my ammo backpack, then types in chat “I thought you stole my samples”. Like my guy we are both new and terrible at the game, where is this toxicity getting us
Maybe you know, but samples are shared, no one can steal them.
I did know! Is it etiquette to pick up samples or leave them?
I always pick them up lol. It's all going on the same shuttle at the end.

That's why I'm always host. It doesn't matter who dropped the 500, the dbag that cusses out a person that got staggered gets court martialed. It happens to everyone, you either laugh about it because it's funny, or you can take your shit elsewhere. This isn't a competitive PVP game.
I would host 100% of the time if Arrowhead would finally add a "disband fireteam" option in the menus instead of making me press a pillow over the game's face or making me manually kick three players whenever I want to pause for a moment or when I would like to play with different teammates.
It's been over a year. I'm sick of excusing Arrowhead over the simplest features, or lack thereof. This is like being anywhere north of five years old and still not knowing how to walk.

Sometimes, it is the bugs. Sometimes, I'm getting ready to throw a 500kg on a shrieker nest, but those absurdly quiet chargers blindside me and knock me over.
Those chargers have no right to be that quiet.

It's annoying when my own teammates do this because they flick their shot after I go to throw the stratagem and I make sure to not be in their line of fire too because they simply don't practice proper gun discipline 🤣
Walking barrage is worse. You've no idea what direction it goes.

Pretty much same problem, back when the air burst launcher first released, I had it happen more than once that a bug just jumped out from bumfuck nowhere, right im front of my shot, killing me and my teammates
I just had a game where i wanted to throw my 380 into a bug breach and someone killed me either with a turret or because i ran into his line of fire.
Most dramatic and cinematic extraction i have ever seen xD

I remember when I was playing with my buddies last night, we were defending the extraction point and I was about to throw a 500kg stratagem when my friend decided it was a great time to melee me. I dropped it right on the extraction platform.
I just laugh when someone else does it (as long as it's not a regular thing). But you do have some control over it: be careful when holding your stratagem and throw it asap or put it away.
When my teammate and I get into a kicking fight I’ll queue up an Eagle 500Kg and get him to kick me down and drop the stratagem
That's when you yell "SCATTER!" and everyone runs off in a different direction like that scene in Ratatouille

I see the red doom beam from the sky and scatter. Been traumatized too many times blown to bits by teammates. Some people make fun of me but I haven’t been team killed in a while.
I got ragdolled from a turret on a bot mission while holding my orbital laser… dropped it, and suddenly I was a medium-well diver with a little pink in the middle.
That one hunter that just so happens to knock you over with this stratagem

imo, too many people are trying to call big strats while swarmed when they should be running and tossing nades behind them (or bouncing them off terrain so they ricochet behind them into the swarm) to make time to call the strat on the main body of them and not the 3 hunters hounding them
The number of times we are overrun and someone is like "I know, Napalm... oops, I'm sorry, they made me drop it"
If we already need it on our position, you kind of inadvertently tossed it properly, the problem is it will now make it a no-man's land and kill everyone there
Same people that toss a 500kg or Napalm INTO an objective where someone is already in there clearing on foot or in a mech "I'm helping" and they have no excuse of fumbling to blame
Reactionary strats are almost always bad
Like kneejerk tossing a turret on the extract/objective in the middle so it just spins and cuts everyone down, 5 seconds before it gets destroyed because it can't possibly take everything out before it gets overrun
Panic is the main issue, lack of planning is the root cause
Casually holding it in your hand and not being aware that something is about to happen is mostly your fault
Thankfully I've never had anyone yell at me when I drop my orbital napalm at my feet.
It's usually me yelling "fucking run!"

Why aren't you using the stratagem safety? That way you can't have it get dropped at your feet and it only activates when you throw it.

Holding off the last stratagem key to prevent this until you throw the ball is entirely your choice.
I just had this happen to me, I got pinned under my destroyed mech, so I threw this and yelled out "FOR SUPER EARTH" Got kicked.
Translation. I don't like when people call me out on my stupid mistakes.
A short but clear warning siren and/or better warning message to all players within the killzone radius from the gem light column will be helpful to prevent TK for all fire support gems with AOE.
Such warning signal will make everyone clearly recognize the danger even in the middle of the combat.
We hear repeated warning messages about bot mortar for all players, but why not for friendly fire support?
It's called, talking to your team and the light beam coming from a highly detailed ball near your feet with the stratagem display...
Not may random players use Voip. Chatting messages have a limit. Let the game send a warning message to all players within the kill zone. It is very simple work to do.

It is so easy to miss the gem light in the middle of combat, especially if the map is complicated.
