As an Xbox player, some of the community hyping us up is great but I expect that some of the Xbox players will be humbled before we get on the same level as the rest of you.
Some of us are/should take the time to discover some Helldivers content creators, watch tutorials, and soak up as much information as we possibly can before August 26th.
I know actually playing the game is an entirely different experience but at least I'll know a little more about my enemy, their weaknesses, and which tools are right for the job.
I won't be the best but damnit, I'll be the best that I can be.
I found a lore video that got me up to date with what's happened since launch that's worth a watch. It's gotten me pumped more so for August now
Drake Kateri, he's done a 2 hour video on the Lore so far and the different factions.

General Rules for the factions are: Bugs: Shoot them enough, medium pen is ideal. Just spray rounds. Rockets for Chargers/Titans/Impalers Bots: Weakpoints are all that really matter, and they can generally be dealt with via light pen. Squids: Uh, a shit ton of rounds. A lot. Like holy shit you'll burn through ammunition fighting Fleshmobs.

Nah. Watch lore videos to get up to speed, but stay away from tips and such. Go in blind. Learn the hard (funny) way like we did.
Trust me, it's a lot more fun to learn it on the go than hearing/seeing second-hand from others. Like watching someone else's walkthrough instead of playing the game yourself instead.
Once you’ve learned the basics, I highly recommend Eravin’s YouTube channel, he’s not the most popular but he makes the most informational HD2 videos out there by far! The majority of the game’s mechanics are not explained in-game, and he covers them all. His Ultimate Hidden Mechanics Guide is a great place to start.

I'm a xbox player, but I've been playing HD2 on my PS5 for awhile now. I'm playing both sides so that I always come out on top
They'll definitely be a teething period while we're figuring stuff out, but a lot of these posts kinda feel like you guys think we've never played a single videogame in our lives before.
I'm sure their's plenty of stuff we've played over the years that will translate well.
Glad to see some humility in this thread. You guys will be making all the same mistakes we did. Don't rush to level 10 difficulty.

Not saying every Playstation player is like that, but there is a small minority of people accualy mad that Xbox got Helldivers 2

idgaf about console wars, if ps players want to harass xbox halo players, feel free then but they keep forgetting hd is halo inspired anyways, im a halo player, and since hd is basically kinda like halo, this brought me into this game and on pc only, and if psn players are playing on pc (windows or whatever), it techically still counts as windows microsoft which owns both pc and xbox so (unless you using a different software thats not microsoft), most xbox players are gonna play with 'their' friends anyways or play private servers, plus whoever is the host, can just kick them anyways, the psn players are gonna be the new chaos/griefer-divers
