I fixed the corner of a broken picture frame with some drywall compound and you can barely tell unless you are looking really closely. It looks way better than it did prior to the fix. I don’t think you’ll ever get it perfect, but some drywall compound and maybe a bit of white paint might camouflage it enough to stop it from bothering you.
