Used the oven to cook dinner earlier. The oven part worked however the stove top did not. When the oven was done I turned off the stove and the breaker trip. Reset the breaker and now both the stove top and oven works. Never happened before in the last three years. Anyone know why? Also going on vacation. Should I unplug the oven before I leave or will it be fine. Usually don’t. But if there’s an electrical issue, not really wanting to risk it.
Probably just a one-off surge or weak breaker but if you're already sketched, unplugging before vacation is a no-brainer. Id choose peace of mind over a minor hassle any day.
