The closer we get to it the more this collab with ”UBW” is starting to just feel like “Fate” in general. more generically Fate and less specifically UBW. Which…I guess is fine…
But man how the hell are you gonna have a UBW Collab and NOT have Shirou and Rin.
I admit, I'm mystified as to why the collab singles out UBW. It's not like it's recent or anything. Why wasn't the collab with Fate/Stay Night in general?

Of all the Fate series I'd say it's the most well known, and iconic for good, and bad reasons. Hell if this was a Fate/Zero, or Fate Apocrypha I dont think it would carry the same buzz.
The probability of any fate collab that Isn’t stay night is very low. I’ve never seen a non-stay night collab before. Idk why that’s the case.

The UBW part was never going to be a focus. The characters and fate themselves is obviously what's being sought after.
It’s easier to bring in the servants than the master. Even in the series, shirou and rin is mostly locked in stay night and when they do show in other material, its usually alternate versions of stay night and non-canon spin-offs, fate/zero or has a semi-servant in fgo. The off-chance emiya does appear in a sequel…. Yeah, very rare. He was mentioned in strange fake, appears in adventures of lord melloi ii and he was in hollow atraxia but that’s all I know. This franchise is deathly allergic to sequels. Literally the only Fate ip I know that goes in a straight line is kaleid liner prisma Illya. Fortunately for Rin, she has much more appearances. Not only appearing has much as shirou. But also in extra and kaleid liner. Also twice the pseudo servant.
Licensing. I’m unsure of the particulars, but probably due to Aniplex’s particulars on how much of the fate series they specifically license, pretty much every “Fate” collab is specifically a collab with “F/SN: Unlimited Blade Works” regardless of the actual content.
…It’s just that archer and saber are usually in every fate collab anyway so this isn’t often an issue. It is when you only have 2 slots and Shirou and rin can’t be in though.
Idw i guess if it was a heavens feels collab, then they use Saber alter and Emiya with rho aias instead of ubw? Honestly, I’d be drooling.
Rin is one of the two characters who created the modern idea of Tsundere (Asuka Langley being the other one) so she's quite literally waifu history.
Not having Rin in HER OWN ROUTE collab is a crime, I would've pulled her over Phainon

basically rin is either single or with archers younger self(Shirou) hell to summon archer you need to use the pendant she gave him which he has in his e4 art
you need to be extremely mentally ill to not recognize how every fsn char and ESPECIALLY rin is written in a very bicoded manner
Also, Shinji, Saber, Shirou, Kirei, Kiritsugu, Illya, Lancer, Sakura etc aren't really bicoded
