Hey, count yourself lucky. I worked on a “custom” Jeep with a 6.0L LS. The entire “custom” wiring harness was entirely black wire and red wire. On top of that, there had to have been 40-50 wires that went directly to the battery positive and ground posts.
This is a mr2 with a k24 engine with all custom wiring form a previous shop
How does one even bill for this?
Heavily. Make them pay for your vacation afterward. Alot of people won't even go through the effort and would quote a redo from scratch, which you can also bone yourself on quite easily.
At least it isn't an international truck where every wire is yellow just because they hate you.

Not saying top tier guys wouldnt be re engineer it all and be Nascar clean, normal shop nvr would want to marry that deep throating whore of a vehicle. But God we luv our whores!

It’s a mr2 that got a k24 swap from another shop we got a nice rywire harness to install and this is how I find the old wiring I got everything working except the starter cause the relay is now not getting power from the push to start kit they installed so starter won’t engage
I re did the wires for the fuel pump, fans , coils / inj and then now I’m trying to get the starter working, shop doesn’t want me to pull all the wiring and re do it all
