"Managed social engineering operations to improve employee awareness and resilience"
Bro ran some campaigns with Knowbe4.
I get occasional test phish emails at work, which I am supposed to report (and if I click, I gotta take some training). Those are similar to what I imagine he created.
It mentions physical access controls, so probably more like shoulder surfing to take a code for a door, then reporting it so they can make sure employees are more aware of their surroundings (which they won't do anyway).
I feel like I remember him saying he got someone’s fob key that was on lunch break once.
He’s mentioned dropping USB drives in the parking lot before. Which, I mean, yeah that’s still pentesting but far from advanced.
[deleted]
Nah, I'm just a dumbass development lead such immensely intelligent Cyber Security Specialist try to fool with their fake phishing emails. I can't imagine being as important as that, or have as challenging of a career.
[deleted]
Yeah, I realized you were gassing it up.
Wild that people fail the test so blatantly. What percentage of people would you say fail? Are certain departments worse than others?
If a cyber security specialist was sending out those phishing emails manually, especially someone who brags about their experience as much as Thor does, that would be hilarious and also a good indication of if they are good at their job or not
Same. In my current company if you click 3 your automatically fired apparently.
Literally.
Plus trying to tailgate into restricted areas. Bro doesn't know anything.
Woah, slow down there Mr. Robot.
Woah, slow down there Mr. Robot.
If we're talking about Knowbe4, isn't "Inside Man" more appropriate? :)
Bro ran some campaigns with Knowbe4.
i fucking hate knowbe4 with all my heart. their "test emails" are so goddamn dumb.
The real fucked part is that the dumb emails get people lol
I failed one when they first got rolled out because the outlook safe links showed it went to a legitimate cheese mongers website.
I need to know what you do for a living that you got a random email about a cheese monger and you were immediately into it haha
Oh I work for an IT company I knew it was fake (but safe fake) it was from "HR" and it was a link to a new policy. The URL has some sort of tracking and redirection so I opened the link.
Spoiler alert, I have set these up with Knowbe4 in my org, you whitelist a bunch of these to force outlook to report it as legit
We've been reporting 2 emails a week from Knowbe4 as phishing since April. IT finally sends out communication it is legit and to take the training. Now people are getting extra training because they are clicking the links to take the training. I'm not sure it will ever end.
I was told to take the training because I deleted a phishing e-mail instead of reporting it. I ignored the training spam for 365 days, and the counter rolled over. I'm 105 days overdue on the same training. A thousand years from now, I will be long dead. The lizard people will have risen up from their subterranean realm and taken over the earth. I like to think that, somewhere, a still-running computer will be sending me e-mails to take phishing training in 3025.
They sent one on my first day of work at my very first job out of college and it was something like you're outlook needs setup click here. Yeah I clicked the link 😒
Like 10 years ago I had a job interview with them at their corporate hq in downtown Clearwater FL and it was an odd place. You do a normal sit down interview then they make you sit there and take an IQ test.. mind you this was for a super entry level role. Ended up turning it down for another job, just felt off.
And if the downtown Clearwater bit stuck out to you... yep the founder and former CEO is a high level Scientologist. And apparently to a couple friends who've worked there, so are most of the senior leadership.
Actual Cyber Security Intern work in my office
He was the guy that randomly sent obvious phishing emails so your manager can throw a hissy fit when some dumbass fell for it.
We are in an endless loop with Knowbe4 right now at work. We have been reporting them for phishing since April. 2 weeks ago, IT sends out an email and says they are legit and to take the training. Now people are getting dinged because they clicked the links and didn't report them for phishing and have extra training.
literal type of shit I did while interning a year or so ago in IT
"infiltrated and exploited physical access controls" is just as bad if not worse, that literally means he just tailgated someone into the building after they swiped their card
I ain’t clicking nothing
When he said he worked for Blizzard I assumed he was apart of the development team. When he said he was in security I was like hold on, that’s an entirely different skillset to what a game dev does. Nothing wrong with being in security, that is until you start going off about game development and make really weird obtuse arguments. At that point you are trying to pass off your history as a game dev.
It’s almost like saying you’re a lawyer and know about law but in reality you’re a cop or work in corrections.
That’s a big problem with him. He makes it seem like he’s some huge developer when he’s made a small game and his other is an unfinished Undertale clone that’s made like no progress in 8 years.
To be fair, how many games a developer has released isn't a good way to judge whether or not that developer has good game development knowledge or skill. I know of a lot of extremely talented game developers who have worked at AAA companies for years and their work has never been released in a commercial product.
PirateSoftware has never shown anything that would hint at him being extremely talented though. In fact, as you can see that he rarely ever shows his own code and if he does, it's crap.
Eh, I also don't knock that either. Some of the most talented gamedev's I've seen have garbage coding habits lol. They solve some really hard problems but aren't writing the most readable/workable/optimized code. It's usually people that come in after and polish what they've done that it becomes "good".
Also programming isn't a one-size-fits-all role. Being a good programmer in terms of network engineering doesn't automatically make you good at programming game play systems for example. Big AAA games have different kinds of programmers who are good at their niches all working on the game at once. But when you go indie you have to do all of their niches yourself, and you're not going to always know how to do them all well.
I'm not defending him, but I'm adding context for why his code might be sub-par even if he has past experience in another area of programming.
The people you're talking about are on the opposite side of the spectrum.
If you look at Pirate's code, it's bad because he's acting like a complete amateur who doesn't know what basic data types, loops, etc., are and comments every single line of code. The people you're talking about are generally the opposite, leaving too little documentation and using complex operations only they can easily understand.
Also, none of the code he's shown so far has anything even remotely to do with "solving some really hard problems".
100%. Like this guy develops for 8 years and still sucks lol
he somehow slower than yandere dev
“Yeah dude, i own a nightclub! I mean, yeah im the bouncer but like i kinda own it yk? My dad owns it actually”💪
"I get to decide who enters and who doesn't, I basically OWN THIS PLACE"
Yeah, "I worked for one of the biggest game developers on the planet" with little to no qualifying statements is extremely misleading, and I feel like that's on purpose. He's borrowing Blizzard's credit to make his opinions carry more water.
I feel like that's very on brand for current Blizzard. Everyone who made the games people love are gone, just thousands of devs trying to sell things by cashing in IPs people love.
From what I hear in the industry, it's all people look to gain from working there anymore. Get a job at Blizzard, put it on your resume, then start looking for a real job with that. No one wants to stay there and actually make Blizzard games, they just want the clout to work for a better company.
Pretty sure he didnt do any "security" a Blizzard, he was just a QA guy(thanks to his dad anyway) (edit.. oh yeah he was, the social engineering stuff said in the video,my bad.. but still, pretty sure he just entered there as QA)
Yeah I replied to someone else about this. Thanks for trying to keep me account to the facts! I'd say my comparison still tracks just that instead of Police Officer or CO he'd be more aligned to being a security guard at a court house or something. Not demeaning QAs though, they are important.
The latter half of his linkedin for Blizzard does look like at some point he officially moved into security at some point.
QA is also a pretty broad title, I think people hear QA and think it's like game testing which, yeah kinda, but you aren't going to manually testing shit in an MMO. You would be developing scripts to automate shit.
I dislike Pirate btw, but I do get a sense that people on here don't necessarily know what a QA Dev does.
The thing that's confusing to me is if memory serves me right his LinkedIn said he went from QA to managing an AppSec team. It would be pretty odd for someone to go from IC to a manager for a new team (he said it was new).
I dislike Pirate btw, but I do get a sense that people on here don't necessarily know what a QA Dev does.
QA even intersects security in some aspects. If the claims weren't so broad and he said "Yeah I eventually worked my way to the AppSec team" I'd believe it.
He likes feeding misunderstandings. He won't necessairly say it himself, but he will leave it in the open for people to interpret him in a more positive light. Thing is, that is still technically lieing. It's called a lie by omission:
"Lying by omission, also known as a continuing misrepresentation or quote mining, occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes the failure to correct pre-existing misconceptions. For example, when the seller of a car declares it has been serviced regularly, but does not mention that a fault was reported during the last service, the seller lies by omission. It may be compared to dissimulation. An omission is when a person tells most of the truth, but leaves out a few key facts that therefore, completely obscures the truth" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie (see Lying by omission)
This definition fits him spot on. He says he worked for blizzard, but leaves out that he was a QA and not a developer or gameplay designer. He let's that misunderstanding be fostered by his viewers. He knows people assume he was a dev or designer when he says that, but does not go out of his way to correct it.
He has had several things where he talks about how he himself is responsible for getting millions of accounts of cheaters/bots banned, however to my knowledge he has never worked even in the anticheat team.
When hes talking about this stuff you can tell hes either really bad at explaining things to people, or hes trying to pass off surface level knowledge of the subject of game hacking as though its insider info and not stuff you can learn in a 10 min intro tutorial to game hacking.
Id lean more towards the latter considering how confidently wrong he is so often.
He doesn't understand the basics of why a company might want a kernel level anticheat because he has "personal experience" updating blizzards clientside anticheat and banning 2 million players.
He does seem to understand what a polymorphic engine is, which is interesting. But can't fathom the idea his anticheat can just get bypassed & the heartbeat faked.
No his “game dev” part of his time on the front lines of Blizzard was being in QA
I think I remember him talking about that a long time ago so I'll trust your judgement and I'd say my concept is about the same. Not discounting QAing and if anyone sees any bugs in a game, they should write a detailed report. I would just move him from being a cop to a security guard of a court house.
I think he did QA for StarCraft 3 and that's about as deep as he really went
Always remember: even the janitor can say they work at Blizzard.
Buuuuuuut, to be fair, there is a subset of security specifically for software, which would require development skills (if not writing, then at least reading code) to determine vulnerabilities in algorithms, etc.
Buuuuuuut, that's not what he did, so it doesn't matter.
A few years ago a Blizz dev did a talk at the Splunk Conference. There is a video, but I cannot find it atm, so here's only the pdf link. It's about the economy of WoW.
Super early in his introduction he has a slide with "Disclaimer: I am not a WoW Dev". He makes it super clear what his role is - a security engineer.
People who have qualifications don't need to be vague about their qualifications.
Hes like saying he plays for the Lakers but was the mascot.
These types of cappers are a plauge on the industry. I've worked with a couple of people in non technical roles who would talk up all these tech businesses or technical expertise they have and then ask me how to do a loop for a managed handholding lego blocks ass automation tool their department is using.
Like no wonder you're in sales or whatever and not incrementing on your many technical products you have apparently made.
Ah, interesting.
Similar to a guy I worked with who said he was in the RAF, when it turned out he actually ran the bowling alley on the airforce base.
I’d argue that a Co or Police officer would know More about law than his job in security would for game developer, it’s legit the janitorial staff assuming they’re knowledgeable in law because they clean law firms.
No no no, the comparison I was making was in regards to law officers or COs to lawyers. They both have a way of applying law to their day to day and ensuring laws are enforced or applied correctly. Working in Security or being a Game Dev puts you in a position to apply your coding skills differently as well to make sure games are done correctly. They both have overlap in law or coding but applied very differently.
Ah I see. Yeah nah you make a good Point
When he said he was in security I was like hold on, that’s an entirely different skillset to what a game dev doe
I guess making anticheat systems might be something that described both as game dev and "security" guy although with some simplifications.
"I worked at the IRS once briefly 14 years ago, so let me tell you all about the government and what they should do"
To be fair, he definitely would fit the blizzard game dev phenotype.
Narcissistic
Incompetent
Very confident about things that are, by common sense, very wrong.
Ya, i can see why people would mistake him for a blizz game dev.
Bet he can spin any work experience in a banger of a CV though, should look into a career in that field.
Or...like saying you're a lawyer but in reality you just went to law school and worked as a paralegal for a while before getting hired as head simp by a streamer.
It’s almost like saying you’re a lawyer and know about law but in reality you’re a cop or work in corrections.
In this case more of "you talk about how youre lawyer, but in reality youre just janitor in courtroom that sometimes overhear what happens"
I’d even argue that atleast being a cop you still are practicing a level of the law.
Being in digital security is so far away from game development you might as well have been a janitor or a cook in the cafeteria.
He wasn't even security. There is plenty of videos of him saying he was a QA at Blizzard
that’s just good résumé writing
I went through a meeting with a unemployement agent that helps with resume writing and she was all "yes it's incredibly stupid and yes it sucks you have to do this, but this is how you get past the AI."
That and go through the job posting then modify the resume to explicitly use the same words as the posting which is such a pain in the ass to constantly tweak each resume for a job you have probably 1% chance of getting.
Yep. I went through an unemployment stint recently and recruiters would email me back asking me to modify short bits of my resume each time to give the correct keywords. No one reads the resume except maybe the guy doing the interview 5 minutes before he calls you on MS Teams.
Anyone reading my resume would see I have plenty of experience as a technician, but the AI is looking for specific things in order to filter things out.
And now recruiters are complaining that people are using AI to shape their resumes because it gets them through the filter.
We just can't win, man.
Since we're posting memes.
It's funny how recruiters complain when they couldn't even do their jobs before AI. Before the recent tech slump, I would just shotgun the same resume at every job listing and I never had any issue getting hired within 2-3 months. Last year when I did the same I'd get HR people asking "so... what do you actually do?" "do you have experience in [something listed right on the resume]?" - as if they didn't even understand what full-stack development was, while hiring for a full-stack developer position. 7 months of clueless recruiters, ghosting and instant rejections (my record was getting rejected 9 minutes after applying).
After starting to tweak the descriptions of my previous roles to explicitly tie the work done to the technologies listed in each job listing, I got an offer two weeks later. All it took was doing HR's job for them.
Humiliation ritual
Reading stuff like this lets me know that my decision to join the trades was a good one.
I mean, can't you use AI to do that, too? Nobody is reading it anyway, it seems.
I feel attacked.
There's nothing wrong with over exaggerating your resume to employers, it's when you wear it like a badge like pirate software does it becomes egotistic
I literally have a friend just like this. Worked for a famous NFL team for two years. He will openly tell people “oh I worked for X team”. Purposely implying that he knows a ton about football or should be some authority on football. When on reality, he was apart of a group that ordered all the concessions and merchandise….
> Job description maybe a marketing position: "I volunteer in my free time in a multinational group of millions of members. Contributed valuable discussion across a wide range of topics that engage hundreds of interaction"
> *literally shitposting clips on /r/LivestreamFail *
conpany
Shoulda just used your mana gem dog.
So hilarious. This entire saga goes back to him being a coward in WoW.
Hell even if he did the same thing, if he had responded with, "Yea man sorry I was fuckin scared and dipped" nobody would care, maybe a few memes are made but as long as he laughs along nobody cares.
It just becomes a funny story memeed every now and then.
This entire thing happened because he refused to apologize and laugh at himself.
Could have been like Moonmoon. Ran away like a bitch, admitted that he was a bitch, no one gave him any shit after 3 days.
Yeah but moonmoon is still bald.
That's less forgivable than running away like a bitch
it's the gift that keeps on giving. thank you, sodapoppin.
Not just a coward, but a complete dogshit player who for some reason has so little self awareness that he would pick on other players who played ”badly” while he can’t manage the basic fucking things of his class.
I truly wonder if all the PirateSoftware threads would not exist but for the Dire Maul incident...
The SKG shit would have happened either way. His initial take on it was well before OnlyFangs.
If OnlyFangs never happened and then these past few weeks happened, the initial discovery into his fraud would have simply happened now. He wouldn’t be nearly as big of a meme as he is atm, but he would be on his way.
You can’t hide a personality like that forever. He’s so abrasive and unlikable that he would have brushed up with some other creators eventually and acted like a complete dickbag. He simply can’t help himself.
It was probably always a matter of time, this guy is farming fails left and right
If people actually go back and look, there were a decent amount of people calling bullshit from the beginning of his rise to fame. Which was definitely completely natural. That is also why when he started doing real clown stuff, people were ready to pounce with further clips.
I've disliked him for his annoying damn shorts for so long it actually just feels good to see people shitting on him left right and center
So my idea was to use Steam achievements as a save system. Guys guys... do you comprehend what it means? I assume no... now my game is unpiratable! Because they don't have Steam achievements to save their game!
Bro doesn't even know that Steam achievements of a pirated game have been emulated for more than a decade and literally every cracker provides the achievements in a local file.
me personally ever since i got his clips on shorts all that time ago, years back, i was like, oh, nah, this man gets high off his own farts. had a lot of experience with narcissists, mother, best friend for 10+ years (admittedly he was an amazing friend but you just learned to take what he says with a grain of salt).
i’m not saying i was preying on his downfall, but he was always very clearly a i am holier than thou type of guy who gets off on exaggerating or straight up lying. he treats his audience like he’s lecturing a phd level class yet they’re toddlers like they can’t possibly understand it.
Same. I saw his cybersecurity clips and was like, "yeah, sure, that part's true, but that other part? Really bro?" And the fact that he always presented his information as absolute truth. Like, if he was actually a cybersecurity expert, he would know very well that there are multiple ways to achieve a result and that there isn't any absolute truth. He basically outed himself from the very beginning.
He is a professional social engineer. Wouldn't past him that this is all some sort of 4d chess move to make himself richer.
Ehh, he was definitely making more last year and would have made even more this year if he didn't like to shoot his mouth off. His Twitch and Youtube are hemorrhaging followers and subscribers.
In the deep of Dire Maul奏出伤的歌 Every man for himself 提悲伤的歌 Mage cannot save you 提悲伤的歌 Blink Blink 提悲伤的歌 To the door of light 提悲伤的歌歌
"Oh man, I really screwed that one up, my bad." and a chuckle would have 100% completely stopped any of this from happening.
Every day I thank Yamato for actually giving some contra to him.
you just have to watch any of his actual coding to know he wasn't 'hacking' power plants, he was doing dumb shit like dropping usb sticks or sending emails.
One of the funniest things with nepo babies is they'll get a job then they'll keep getting promoted. You often can't fire the bosses kid, but you can promote them and get them the fuck out of your department so their fuck ups are no longer your problem. Usually they get high enough their fuck ups piss off their parents boss and it's time for them to leave for real.
But they generally won't get fired, they get asked to resign, claim they are resigning 'for a new challenge' and get a good reference and that lets them sucker the next company into hiring them. Without the nepo treatment, you probably get found out real quick in that one.
We're seen his code, if you've ever coded, it's laughable. God game dev has one non finished release in pushing a decade?
Its even more funnier when you realize that the DoE contract (DEHS0000086 if anyones curious) he was supposedly working on ran from mid 2013 to late 2020 and Pirate Software was only there for just over a year and the contract continued for several years without him.
If Pirate Software was actually competent and valuable to the job, he would have had guaranteed employment until the contract was over. The fact that he was gone after just over a year suggests he was pushed out or that his skills were not valued.
The alarm setting hurt my brain, that's unacceptable in any language
You really make me wish I were a nepo baby tho 😭
If you can't back up your resume with your skills you will not have a moment of peace. Will live everyday at work dreading emails.
Blizzard nepo baby. Leaves Blizzard, works at Amazon for 8 months, then leaves
🤔
starts to release a game... fires self for being incompetent and becomes streamer... attempts to get self cancelled because work sucks.
Pirate actually went a bit viral in the reverse engineering and exploit development space — the people actually writing 0 days — because he had a clip of himself saying absolutely nonsense buzzwords. He’s become a mini meme among actual exploit devs, which is kind of ironic.
It’s a video of him going:
“I grabbed the assembly, found the code cave, and took out the polymorphic”
Which is the equivalent of shows going “I got into the mainframe and found the GUI”
Yep, anti cheat scene got a kick out of his kernel level anticheat stuff.
He has cheated at every single DC black badge he got :)
So he ran some basic penetration tests?
Hell no, he probably wrote phishing emails
Not even phishing, just pretend to be IT and directly ask for usernames and passwords in emails
hows that not phishing?
We used to call it spear phising.
It is phishing... just in-person phishing. Sometimes it's hard to take away the digital trait from the term since that's what most people know it for.
Probably not even (imagine writing instead of automating)... bro probably shoulder surfed or tailgated locked rooms and passed it up the ladder. I'd say he probably helped with audits on PACs - key code locks on doors, RFID cards, etc. Basically shit that keeps the physical space secure from a cyber standpoint.
"Yeah, I basically brute force attacked this account to gain access to the network" *watched a low-privilege user type in his password while standing behind him*
Don't ask what he penetrated
furry that runs a ferret sanctuary 😬
furry
Not just any furry, his fursona is a ferret...
I pray nothing ever comes out like this about him. I don’t like the guy but my goodness I pray he’s legit about the ferret stuff
Well iirc he admitted to buying ferrets to fill the rescue. How many ferrets he bought and how many he rescued idk, but it's a bit weird
Search deep within your heart and ask yourself if the furry with the gnome buttplug in his bathroom is being on the up and up with his animal sanctuary.
Then drink whatever answer you come up with away.
Not even. Bro probably couldn't even open metasploit.
And it's not even like the social engineering stuff isn't cool, why lie? I was jealous of the work our social engineering guy was doing, meanwhile I was stuck testing some very basic API from an app we had already tested seven ways to Sunday...
You're wondering why a perpetual liar doesn't want to be known as the social engineering guy?
Yeah I think social engineering sounds like a lot of fun. wish I could do it instead of sitting in a room waiting for tickets.
No, he told people to not click links on email etc..
He says he did pen testing at blizzard but people who worked with his team said that the team did not do pen testing.
At this point this has to be the most catastrophic and comprehensive destruction of an "influencer".
Bros been found to be a serial liar, ego andy, furry e-boy twink and it's STILL going
What is crazy is that he could have kept his ego train riding and his audience would have kept growing and growing and he would have probably been one of the top streamers on Twitch with tens of thousands of people riding every word whenever he went live.
One WoW controversy later and his numbers are dropping like a bad stock and now a dedicated crew is mocking half of what he says. People slowly unraveled the web and found out more and more about him and now he went from cool hacker Thor, to cringe voice changing ego maniac. Truly one of the greatest examples of digging your own grave.
And that's the stupidest part. If he, at that specific moment, had just leaned into the roach thing and/or just apologised, then that would be him now.
Yea like if this dude was self deprecating at all he would be so popular. His personality is just so insufferable. He’s like all of the worst personality traits you can think of rolled up into one.
That's always the thing with people like pirate, their ego can't handle such situations so they always make it worse for themselves
nah he will definitely get exposed eventually even without the WoW controversy
"I'm an elite hacker and cybersecurity expert"
*shoulder surfs someone at the door key code panel*
"Yeah... I hacked myself into the building"
Piratesoftware is just a lolcow at this point.
100%. And it's so ironic and funny to me. Dude used to work as social engineer, which should mean that he has decent social skills and awareness. But nope! This guy is straight up socially inept. What narcissism does to a mf.
Yup, he doesn't have actually good social skills, he just has good "social manipulation" skills, since he's good at talking authoritatively on something he has no idea about, but his actual normal day to day social skills are awful.
Such a loser
Bro was actually just a "free robux" link sender
*Queues up mic to sigh*
Well, thats it, you're on the list now
*Stretches*
Hope it was worth it
*Draws a box in mspaint*
Thats on you bud
Its funny because bullshitting like this works in the corporate world and why everything is run by confident idiots.
I think this is the main reason people love to watch someone like pirate be “humbled”. Dude really thought he could just “be confident” on the internet and no one would ever fact check him……
Social Engineering is incredibly important and crucial part of hacking and hacks. Why you gotta lie or let people believe it's something else though?
Because he wants to be more important then he is. It’s the same reason he keeps saying he was a developer at bliz. When he never was.
Because it's more cool than saying "i told people not click weird links or share stuff with strangers"
It's the same reason he claims to be a game developer, but he just did QA. And his defense is "QA is required for game development". Which isn't actually true but it is true that qa is part of game dev, but if you're in QA you're not really a "game developer", you just work for game developers.
also nepo baby with his job at blizzard.
A bunch of social engineers managed to social engineer hackers into calling social engineers hackers.
I am going to keep saying this: This dude is another George Santos
Nah that's too much. Santos would say he runs Blizzard and owns a power plant.
I'll challenge Jason - on stream, open any Low Level CVE/vuln discussion video, pause it, read the CVE, explain it, and then play the video with your commentary.
Social Engineering Hacker....in other words, he got paid to make lies and tell stories, sounds like he hasnt stopped working.
This shit is so cringe jesus christ.
In this clip I don’t think he’s embellishing his work like that, at least to me I was not picturing some secret agent lol and it was more the other dude on the podcast hyping that narrative. In the grand scheme of things I wouldn’t be surprised if he does embellish it tho
Idk, if you're going on an interview, or podcast type situation like this, you should absolutely be correcting the hosts if they're incorrectly embellishing what your job and credentials are.
Honestly by letting it go uncorrected especially when he's right there, is pretty much the same thing as incorrectly stating it himself. He wants others to view him as having held high positions in these industries and is an authority figure on them. It's why he constantly mentions having worked at blizzard.
He did correct him except he only corrected him in saying "I had a group of guys" .
That’s only to embellish it in his favor like could be in charge of them. He didn’t expand further on purpose
Whilst I do enjoy the shit that he has been getting and think it's thoroughly deserved, the hosts were just exaggerating for comedic effect and everyone is fully aware of this. He does explain pretty much exactly what he used to do from a social engineering perspective and did make it sound very bland and probably quite accurate to what he did. Technically, what they're saying isn't incorrect, but they are embellishing because the purpose of the podcast is to be entertainment. Out of context clips are not really reflective of what was discussed in further detail.
maybe he hyped it because Pirate allways shows himself as the god hacker, above all gamer and ARG puzzle solver
Cohh got carried away, but Thor did nothing to correct him because he loved it. Lol
I mean its very blatantly embellishing, otherwise the answer to "oh so you're an actual hacker" is "no".
Dude just goes with it with a shit-eating grin on his face instead of correcting them though lol
People who literally doing actual pentesting would not so comfortably go "yeah im hacker, like a real hacker" its cringe.
I don't like Pirate as much as the next guy but i watched that podcast when it came out and i remember him saying that most of what he did was testing "Social Engineering" exploits.
Tbh, most if not all of the biggest hackers didnt actually hack anything. Its much easier and better to just ask for access to stuff.
Actually, Pirate wrote a trojan so powerful it literally makes Stuxnet look like beginners first hello world, he has shown it to me in a dream.
i mean, it didnt get lost or hidden? it was there all the time...
Imma be honest... people from security in the software industry are some of the most pretentious arseholes I've had to work with
I feel like we should just stop talking about PirateSoftware. He feeds off the attention, cut that fucker off.
taps forehead nobody can steal your IP if even you can't understand it
Just focus on getting your “work” done and trash all your emails lol
hes that guy from the die hard movie where someone hacked into a power plant to shut it down
You just made the list.
Anyone in IT that deal with the most minor security stuff could see his BS miles away..all this proves is how illiterate people are in tech and how easily people are to manipulate.
I saw him type at a laptop and say “I’m in” so I know for a fact he’s a hacker.
dude gasses himself up lmao
He was just doing what Indian scammers get up to on a daily basis, he should really stop larping.
But...but...he worked at Blizzard...that puts him at least at the same level as Tony Stark right?

Also just some casual IDF praise thrown in for no reason?
It's weird that y'all are on this guy 24/7, truly.
so he was an indian scammer. lmao
