If he earns his living streaming he's right but doing this on stream is kinda weird.
As someone who’s been watching Hansol for a long time, I’m not sure he makes a proper living from streaming, last time I checked he wasn’t getting many viewers at all and he also tried to go pro in Fortnite then stopped streaming and lost a ton of viewers there. So he returned to WoW with a much smaller audience like 100 viewers.
He messed up by not pumping content out back when wow was in its prime.
He had fantastic fire mage pvp skills, but he almost never put out consistent videos and guides like the other creators did. His content was maybe one video per month.
I think for a while him a most of his circle were earning more money from boosting than they were from streaming. Now that the game he has the most skill in is dying, there's not much reason to watch him.
he problably rmts and makes money that way, RMT pvp glad boosts pays pretty well.
thats how most top WoW pvpers make their living lol. fuck I wish I could remember who it was that I remember saying they made like 100k one year from RMT doing glad carries.
WoW has so many whales. I didn't pay a sub for almost 2 years doing M+ and raid carries in S1 of Shadowlands for gold.
This was true for a very long in both the pvp and pve world. It has calmed a bit down since legion. Piloting for pve boosts got slammed hard
yeah SL was a joke that first season especially in M+
We would just tell the carry to sit at the start and don't move lol. One guy was buying like 5 tokens a week for raid and M+ carries to get his bis gear. I'd clear about 300-500k each week that first season. Whales paid for my sub for a while, DF, and Diablo 4 lol.
Maybe it was reckful, he said he sold a lot of boosts, made around 50k doing so and then invested into stocks and got pretty rich alongside streaming.
Edit: No idea why I am getting downvoted for something reckful said himself on stream.
yeah if he was single i'm sure he could do it just fine but yeah being in a relationship and having that viewership aint gonna work
Last time I heard about this guy he was emotionally abusive towards his gf (it was a different one)
So this behavior is not surprising at all
Exactly 10 hours work is not unreasonable.
The shitty life pro tip to this type of conflict where you are hold to a different standard when working at home is to rent office space.
Also if she started it I don't find finishing it in front of camera weird. I'm to lazy to find out if that was what was happening though.
Also to defend her a bit. He is probably playing more than 10 hours per day.
It should be unreasonable tbh.
Humans do not exist on this planet to be slaving or unconscious for 67% of their lives
not really considering if you add in commute most people are at their jobs for 10 hours anyways.
Just cuz most people do something doesn't mean it should be that way.
most people have holidays, weekends off and a career trajectory. Streaming wow for ten hours to a hundred people will likely end with you in abject poverty and unemployed in ten years
if someone said "that's my life" as the partner I'd be concerned too
Bit off track but this is why I stopped playing poker full time. Learned the game in college, made almost 100k my senior yr. Quit my first real job after a year to give the pro poker thing a shot. Made 73k in 14 months before I went back to work. Figured I’d regret it in the future if I never gave it a shot. People underestimate the security and benefits that come with a real job. Couple more nuanced reasons too but non poker players probably wouldn’t understand.
Just fold pre
His gf made him turn on the stream
They're drunk
Never heard of this guy before until right now. Imma bout to pass judgment on his whole life and relationship real quick...
As a person who watches a decent amount of retail WoW PvP which is what Hansol streams. I can verify that this man does NOT make a living on that game. Time to tone it down buddy.
Yep, if he was making a good living I doubt she’d care about his streaming hours. So hes either freeloading or hes working and then spending all his free time on the game which would be bad for maintaining a relationship
tbh, he probably sells carries on the side like all the top pvpers. I used to manage a few guys back in the day on Mal'ganis during Cata where dudes would make $300-400/day from pushing glad cutoff (assumed cutoff at the time) on people's characters.
You might be surprised how much some of these smaller streamers can make. Some of these 100-200 viewer streamers have some very charitable communities, including in the WoW PvP section. Not all of them show their sub counts, but some of these streamers are consistently hovering around 2k subs.
doesnt he also do coaching.. lots of people pay alot of that
They probably used to pay a lot years ago when the game and competitive scene were more active. Now though. Their player base and audience is so heavily divided between retail, classic, and SOD.
Arena isn’t dead lol there are the people like me who will never let it die
Even if he does, no they don't. Coaching is like $30 an hour from Rank 1s but they do not have many customers. You can atleast make between $500 - $1000 if you want to glad boost but those aren't even as sought after these days.
You dont know if he doesnt tho. You are just assuming based on other low viewer streamers. Time to tone it down buddy. Stop speaking like its fact when you dont know
Have u seen his house? He's rich AF.
[deleted]
I am implying he does not "make a living" playing WoW (His stream does not do numbers)
which is weird as fuck seeing his name again because he actually was decently strong many years back. would average maybe 1 to 2k viewers in MoP or WoD (i cant remember)
then he got shamed for trying to pick up underaged girls through negging while livestreaming it then he disappeared.
I lot of people did decently in the past who no longer can even make a living with it. There's almost no WoW streamers who can make a living from the game ALONE. They typically make other money elsewhere (selling boosts underground or other types of content).
legion he was poppin
Is that Pooflower?
Bro I thought the same shit I think it is
I think she is. So it's pretty interesting how it seems like she doesn't understand what streaming takes.
My man
To be fair is this not how he makes his living? Streaming wow and making content is how he makes his money in context this doesn’t sound all that bad. Obviously it’s cringe and pathetic for a man to tell his GF she just has to accept that he’s going to play wow 12 hours a day but this isn’t the same.
Is it less cringe and pathetic to tell your GF you're working any other job for 12 hours? If it pays the bills who cares what he's doing as long as it is legal?
Lots of women wouldnt want bfs working 12hours a day. Almost no time to spend time together or to do your part of housework/kids
My brother in laws wife left him because he was a truck driver.
She said what’s the point of being married if she’s living single.
I'd guess around 95% of people would love to work less, but can't afford to. No idea about his financial situation though, just in general.
From what i read, dudes make almost no cash from streaming. Probably would be better served working a normal job.
Here in lies the problem. Dude wants to queue in WoW all day, neglecting his adulting responsibilities and use streaming as the cloak in which to do it all day.
Frankly, he shouldn't have started dating if was never intending on prio'ing a relationship over a video game.
And yes, at this stage it's just a video game. 99% of streamers don't make it.
Hansol used to be pretty big in the wow PVP section. He has multiple +1M views youtube videos.
This last year his videos get like 1k to 10k views. Maybe he is trying to rebuild/ hang on to his old viewers.
But without looking into the vod or anything, I'd guess this clip is bait.
Ah did he? That probably makes more sense then that he'd try and go for it. Fair play to him.
Yeah I hope it's bait and their relationship isn't like this. If it's serious, shame on him for streaming it, and shame on the both of them for making it into drama I suppose.
Pretty sure between streaming coaching and boosting he probably lives comfortably while playing wow as his job.
And yet his girlfriend doesn't know that and questions what he's doing? Interesting.
And I'm sure lots more women wouldn't want their bfs working little to no hours a day. Being in a constant financial struggle.
The hard truth is that a lot of people still see videogames as children's entertainment, even if it makes money.
I can't remember if it was AITA or AIO but there was one two or so months ago where a girlfriend was trashing her boyfriend who was playing in a scheduled tournament because he couldn't stop in the middle to take the dog out to go to the bathroom. Tons of people were trashing the guy saying he was a man child and telling her to leave. She said she couldn't leave because she couldn't hold a job and he was the sole breadwinner and admitted that his tournament stuff was sometimes supplemental income. Despite her being a jobless bum people still calling him a loser for playing games.
While yes, his approach is off.
It should not be “accept that or we’re done”
It’s a “okay so I have to work for 10 hours, how can we make some adjustments outside of that so that I can be with you when I’m not working?”
He’s just not coming from a place of love, it’s more so that she’s a nice to have and if she doesn’t like it fuck her she’s gone
She's gotta be used to it, no? That's Asmon's ex.
demonic rituals inc
Correct point, incorrect execution.
Seems like not much has changed from 10 years ago? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DkBn_1AN90
he makes 2 dollars streaming lol. have arena'd with him back in my wow days, guys a super dickhead karma came for em
Surely he makes more money than that
Looks like he averaged 122 viewers for 282 hours the last 30 days. That's definitely enough to make a living, a modest one sure, but it pays more than people think especially if he was a strong core audience.
how much does that net him?
No idea and it's impossible to know unless the streamer shares it. All I know is there are streamers with similar viewcounts that stream fulltime, so it has to be enough.
doesn't seem financially sustainable when i tried googling it, as the guy would pretty much need all his viewers to sub and a whale to support his stream just to break 1k it seems. most 50 viewer streamers are making close to 30 dollars a month on average. Hansol would basically be making around 60-80 dollars every month on average given that statistic, which is like the minimum salary of a day's work in a lot of areas.
[deleted]
i wouldn't know how many subs the man has, but a lot of small time streamers hardly have subs to begin with. as for ads, i don't know how much he makes from those either. that said, whatever the guy is making would likely not be sustainable even from modest living anyways
[deleted]
well for 120 viewers, you also have to figure out how many are bots
Botting viewers is basically the norm around 50-100 viewer area. Its usually like 20 actual chatters, hell maybe even just 10
i was looking through various links and see where people report their earnings based off their own viewership counts as well. the one that reports 1-1.5k also didn't seem to have any sources backing the claim up, which was what prompted me to look further and realized a lot of small time streamers basically have little income to begin with.
30 subs is $180, twitch takes like half, so thats like $90. Idk his ad revenue, but it cant be much more than 10% of subs. Around $100 is more accurate if he has 30 subs, but thats def not a living
u know wow players that watch arena are the ultra wow losers right? I knew all of them when i was 18 I was in the .1 percentile of arena players. they are all absolutely retarded and its 90 percent the same ppl still to this day
Quite sad
I think most people will miss the fact that they are both incredibly drunk during this lol. This isn't even the best clip from that night, the reason this one is so funny is because this is the moment his stream crashed.
The camera quality and drunk conversation reminds me of justin.tv lol. I watched way too much of the VOD, but this would've been a 7 min stream, if that, if he said sorry. His drunk ass really let her drunk ass rant on and on for an hour about using the bathroom and her wanting to call his ex so that she can say that he cares more about her ex.
I mean, it is how he makes his living, but airing this publicly on stream is weird. I feel like he just wants to be yes man’d by chat and feel like he’s right in this argument.
She should know that’s what he does for a living, he’s been doing it for a LONG time and streaming tends to have long hours, but if he’s just going 7 days a week, he definitely needs a better schedule if he wants to remain in a relationship. That only works when they are also in that space I feel like, but when a streamer has a “normie” partner they need to carve out time deliberately for them.
Not every streamer makes a livable wage from streaming lol.
Of course but the point being it shouldn’t come as a surprise that that is his lifestyle. Again, if it’s something she is advocating that he changes, it’s something that should be discussed in private without an audience. Handled stupid on his part but also not something she shouldn’t have expected considering it’s been the last like 15 years of his life (remember this guy cropping up in Cata which was like 2010).
Wasnt Hansol abusive to one of his ex gfs or am I thinking of one of the many other wow e-celebs that did that
i’ve been following him since 2017 and have never heard this before
granted i do go outside
You really don't have to look far to find out the shitty things this guy has done - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFAsqD1vMZ4
Also trying to rizz up underaged girls at the local mall and then following them when they walk away and call him a creep.
dude was fucking strangeeeee
yeah i'm employed, i dunno who these people are
even if that was true that is not the point of the clip though
i just see a guy telling his so to accept how he is and what he does for living
and accept his passion for it
but the gf just say "no i want you to be a grown adult"
thats the point
yeah but he doesnt actually explain how its his job and living in the clip, he just says 'thats me'
Yeah because he doesn't make a "living" out of it.
Yikes. Robyn if you're reading this just know that you deserve better
Is that Robyn that used to be on Asmon's streams back in wod?
Unfortunately yeah
remind me of purepwnage lol
This is the demon girl that used to to satanic shit on stream like 7-8 years ago jeeezzusss
Geez, been over a decade since I've heard Hansols name.
Jump scared by the girl asmongold used to have on his stream like a decade ago
streaming your arguments with your spouse is el cringe
Can anyone tell me what she said at the end?
I remember when this guy was apart of a “how to flirt with strangers, and be a chad” pyramid scheme.
Creep.
this is just a drunk couple arguing, and its just on stream
I fucking died when he said "I get CR" lmaooo
If he had to go out to a regular job 12 hours a day, every day, she wouldn't complain. Girls just don't understand it, no matter how you explain. Been there done that, just find a new girl lmao.
Men working too many hours is a very common complaint
Sure, but I've never heard any woman say they want their partner that works 12h a day "to be a grown adult". That clearly seemed like an attack on his WoW career, she obviously thinks playing videogames is childish.
I wfh but since I wfh i obviously have all day to clean the house and do chores
she is drunk and argumentative. get rid of any girl like that. not gf material. not worth the trouble
and hes perfect !!!!
Hansol is a weirdo
Earning a living and paying bills is being an adult. Everything else is just smokescreen. She clearly thinks streaming and playing games is something only children do and thus not a fit for him. It doesn't matter if he earns money.
And considering he streams 10h a day... This life is not for her. His life is public. It's like a big brother show that broadcasts every little thing. For any private person, this conversation shouldn't be in front of a camera. But for him it doesn't matter... And his future girlfriend needs to like this. Or at least in the beginning until she is able to set some reasonable boundaries for their relationship and his streaming. And not what this girl did who flat out demanded to quit his job because it's childish
Regardless of WoW or anything, but just in general, I will always find it frustrating how some people expect their partner to change who they are just to please them rather than just breaking up and finding someone that already fits whatever mold they have in their mind.
She hit him with the true cold facts! Ruthless!
I saw an edit of this and I thought this was 100% a joke. Now I can't tell
