World Water Resources By Country

The Amazon rainforest produces its own rain. Brazil, especially the Amazon region, has some of the highest internal renewable water resources on Earth over 5,000 mm/year. But what’s wild is that much of this water comes from the forest itself through a process called biotic pump. Trees release water vapor, which helps form clouds and brings more rain, creating a self-watering system. The forest literally rains on itself like a giant, green, living sprinkler system.

By country is pretty useless for large countries, especially ones like the US and Canada that have large population centers separated by thousands of kilometers and major mountain ranges.
