Just watching yesterday’s epic concert and what I thought was just a desaturated video, turns out to be a whole new Mummy guitar that’s colourless, in a brown/beige theme. Appears on For whom the bell tolls first: https://youtu.be/eJ8dPbq6_f4?si=c4DdebaGm1ckvZ_0
Seemed like Kirk had a few new guitars for this, he started the set with a silver SG that I've also never seen before.
Interesting, is there a pic of this?
That just looks so odd. Looks like an Angus Young sig with the lightning inlays
Looks like an SG Supreme
Looked like a quick change during the earlier song. Wonder if it’s just a backup.
haha I was just watching the show and noticed he went from the Joker guitar to this for the ending of Bells.
This is a B-Rig. James wasn’t playing the same V he has played the whole M72 tour, it was a backup. Given the tight turn around from Denver to this, it seems they sent gear that wasn’t being used on the tour to England for this event.
He either broke a string or the guitar fell way out of the tune. That’s why he swapped. You can hear it on the broadcast - sounded like shit (out of tune) before the swap. He gestured to the side stage (his tech I guess) making a winding gesture near the headstock.
I don't see Brendan Frasier on there anywhere smh
My thought is they used new guitars for the show, and that they would be auctioned off for charity at a later date.
Search for "Mummy" in this sub. This has been the topic of many threads in the last 20 hours.
Look at the guitar and read my post please.
It looks the same one he played for most of the Philly shows. The volume on that one needed to be turned up a bit.
If this was the one he played in Philly this sub would’ve blown up with posts about it after those shows. As far as I know this was the live debut of the one in OP’s pic. The one he played in Philly he’s been using on stage since the 90s. It looks like the same artwork but in a different color scheme.
No, it’s not. Read my post and check the video please.
New guitras. But to be fair, practicing his old songs also wouldnt hurt...
This is definitely the debut of that new mummy, not sure exactly when it was born. I’ve also never seen him use the surfboard guitar before last night
