βLars isnβt even the best drummer in Metallicaβ π
π who said that
James lol
That's a total and complete lie.
It is a joke, and it isn't even about metallica. The origin of this joke it was with Jhon Lennon saying this about Ringo Star. And that is also false, there is no evidence of that.
Stop spreading lies.
Completely irrelevant, but it's absolutely wild to me how often I see the name "John" misspelled as "Jhon".
The first time I saw it I thought it was just some fat fingering, but it's super, super common.
I am fairly positive that I've heard an interview where he said it ... and yes, it's a callback to John on Ringo.
Nobody.
It was a joke about Lenon answering something like "Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?". Then a lot of people have used that in different context, including Metallica jokes.
And Lenon saying that about Ringo is also a lie.
This sounds surprisingly good
Lars could honestly be the vocalist. Maybe not of Metallica but definitely a punk band.
Holy shit I never knew this was a thing, this is pretty sick!
Wait. Is this Earth C-137 or am in lost?
How did Jason not know how to palm mute?
Kirk Simmons
James can only hit the drums on the down stroke
They accidentally created best matching
James Ulrich
Lars Hetfield
Kirk Newstead
Jason Hammett
ok to be fair, the names james ulrich and lars hetfield arenβt far off from reality
Earth-2 'tallicA.
James played the drums in Spastik Children. Kirk played bass after Cliff died. Jim "Faith No More" Martin on guitar and Fred Rotten Cotton on vocals. Funny band. James is a pretty good drummer. π₯ (probably makes Lars jealous π)
man i wish they could do stuff like this nowadays, i want that epic creeping death middle section played out like it was during seattle 89
Def the best drummer a close second being Joey from Slipknot!!
It would be interesting, in an alternate universe, to hear how James would have played the drums for their songs.
Listen to Motorbreath
Did he play drums on that song?
According to the album notes- hetfield has sole credit
that's song writing credit, not that he played all instruments on it
A man with many talents π!
I'd love to see them do one of these one off things sometime. Be cool if they'd come up with something fun to do at each show, that was different. Guess they do that wit hthe Kirk/Rob doodles now, but this would've been pretty fuckin wild to see in person, right?
Getting them all playing drums during one of the Hardwired songs a few years back was kinda Spinal Tap-like, but they did it at every show
From the β92 San Diego show. Got it on DVD and is one of my favorite shows
When you go back in time with a time machine and change the position of 1 chairπ€
But it indicates he wrote all the instrument parts for the song
He could be better than Lars, well, anyone can be
Yawn.
I wish Lars did more vocals. He has that punk aggression to him.
The video is on YouTube. https://youtu.be/03_OIKn9bUQ?si=NCzjsDcuycWK55IT
Lars says something about it being his Bruce Dickinson impression lol
Yeah. Lars also sang a bit of "Am I Evil?" on the Making of Load/Reload documentary.

They exact thing same did in 1989
wait Metallica is on that Taylor Swift album?!
He could've had a sick career as a frontman too, honestly
Honesty - just thinking how I would love to see him as a front man
He sings at least a verse or 2 on one of those Ramones covers they did. Definitely has that punk thing you're talking about!
