Anastesia (pulling teeth) - kill em all 🔨 Kall of kutulu - ride the lightning⚡ Orion - master of puppets 🪦 To live is to die - AJFA ⚖️ suicide and redemption - death magnetic ⚰️
Suicide & Redemption
Heavy riffs, that melodic solo and James' shredding all tell a story without lyrics
solid track, but if it was a little shorter, it would've been even better
Orion
To Live is to Die.
All of them
The Call of Ktulu is the best Metallica song
Fuck no. It's dragged out way longer than it needs to be and is easily their worst instrumental. It's only really good live. That shit is actually so god damn boring.
Never heard that before. I love all 9 mins of it and I find it much less drawn out than To Live is To Die. Pulling Teeth is boring
All 3 of those are drawn out and boring a lot of the time, especially anesthesia imo. Suicide and Redemption and Orion are their only truly fantastic instrumentals imo.
Orion 2nd half is so much better than that 1st half imo. Besides the really cool bass intro it’s just not as good as the 2nd half. That being said I fucking hate fade out’s, and that Orion and S&R fade out is so fucking ass and pointless, I have 0 clue why they did that
I agree that it could have something more to it but it's still very well made. I guess it takes a while to summon the ktulu out of its base or whatever.
Ktulu for me.
Ktulu.
S&M - Ktulu feels incomplete without the symphony to me now
Orion
Chtulhu
Suicide and redemption
orion. was last intrumental pioneered by cliff burton
Instead of asking which is the best instrumental, he asked which album its on! How revolutionaly!
I love To Live Is To Die but I also like Orion. So, my list would be:
To Live Is To Die
Orion
Call of Ktulu
Pulling Teeth
I didn't listen to the one from Death Magnetic
Me too but top 2 switched
Outlaw Torn
Is that considered instrumental?
No
LMAO...I totally misread the assignment, my bad. I'll take the down votes.
My Friend Of Misery was originally meant to be an instrumental too, but Bob told them to throw some lyrics in it.
Anyways, I'd put Orion or Ktulu at the top; probably Orion since it's mixed better and a bit more dynamic. It's fun to play all of their instrumentals on guitar/bass, but Orion feels the most satisfying to me
