Creepers are why i keep it on peaceful, cant have them constantly blowing up my hard work.
Deactivate mob griefing and you'll be fine
Mobgriefing affects way more than just creepers (villagers can't pick up food for instance). There's nothing wrong with playing on peaceful anyways
I'm 99% sure that there's a specific gamerule that can be set on worldgen that specifically targets Creeper griefing on Java, but I may be confidently wrong about that
Not sure, but I do know there are datapacks that disable creeper and enderman griefing specifically (they are usually separate).
Yeah, I know Vanilla Tweaks does (and TBF I have that installed currently, so maybe that's what I'm seeing)
EssentialsX and WorldGuard (Multiplayer Server) has options to specifically disable creeper damage (and other specific explosion/mob damages). Basegame is a blanket mobgriefing rule that also disables villager breeding.
