My suggestion is to add the eye glass and the creepy painting.
The creepy painting, along with the eye glass, are a way to watch your house while you are away. By crafting an eye glass, you can look through the eyes of a creepy painting of the same name. If there are multiple creepy paintings, one will be chosen at random every time you look at an eye glass.
The eye glass, when not being attached to a painting, will, if you look through it, instead show static. You can also tell if someone is looking through a creepy painting. The creepy painting will blink every once in a while, but it won't if someone is looking through it.
They also have functionality on single player worlds. When hooked up to an observer, it will update when it sees a mob passing by. If it is powered, any eye glasses sharing a name with it will make a noise and change texture until you look through it. The creepy painting will also prevent endermites from spawning in its vicinity.
You can use it as a ring doorbell camera, a telephone network, or even as a decoration for a haunted house. Decorators, Redstoners, and people on Servers can all benefit from these blocks.
Does the painting have a set design, or can it affect any painting? I think it’d be cool if you can bug a friend’s house with a disguised painting and spy on them.
Sorry, it's just the enderman face.
"We value your privacy"
"But your friends might not"
What if its just the enderman face but when you place down a normal painting the enderman can show up? So its a 50/50 if its a spy painting or a normal painting
This is fire. Maybe make it so you need to right click a painting to add it to the ones the spyglass can see, because if it’s every painting large servers could make them unusable pretty fast.
Yeah that’s a good idea
Yeah that's what I was thinking too, like a lodestone compass
Kinda like how the lodestone works
What is that head in the crafting recipe of the painting?
Ok looked hard looks like an observer
Also cool idea
Pretty sure it’s an Enderman because they have teleporting abilities (also the ender pearls)
They were talking about the recipe
Oh yeah that’s def an observer
new chunk loader!
A FNAF map with this idea would go crazy
Ur ur Ur Ur
I like it. Picasso
sounds fun, put this on mc suggestions and drop the link for us to vote
I per s onally love this idea maybe in a snapshot or something the way to tell of someone is looking through it could be improved though
Story mode kinda thing, maybe the eyes open when someone's looking through it

Reminds me of the White Pumpkin
Fantastic! I think a nice little detail would be instead of static it shows the void like an end portal.
Great minds think alike. This is very similar to my Resinous Eye post.
I'm not saying you copied me, btw, but it's pretty cool how we had very similar ideas. I went more so on the Redstone side by making it function like a wireless remote, while you made it more general and added a spooky decoration theme to it.
I don't see much use for this in a singleplayer world besides a few niche technical applications (like spectating/troubleshooting a mob farm when normally mobs won't spawn if you're too close to the farm, or using the painting and an observer to count how many mobs are passing through the farm). Notifying the player of mob movement isn't really useful, since most mobs won't spawn more than 128 blocks from the player, and won't even actively move more than 32 blocks from the player. Any time the player would want to be notified of that, they'd be close enough to
It sounds super fun in multiplayer though, especially if the paintings can detect and notify the spyglass of player movement. It's kinda like goat horns, where they don't do much in singleplayer but can be really fun in certain situations in multiplayer. This isn't a dig on the suggestion btw, I love goat horns, and think surveillance paintings could be incredibly fun in multiplayer
I'm wondering about how the implementation for this would work, though. If you look into a spyglass into an unloaded chunk, does it load that chunk? And does it unload immediately if you stop? How many chunks around the spyglass would be loaded? Would they always be loaded? Loading extra chunks could potentially be a performance hit for casual players on low-end devices, but also incredibly useful for technical applications. Being able to remotely load and unload chunks at will, even if it's only one region at a time, sounds like an absolute dream
Big Brother is watching you painting
I really do love the idea but I don’t think it’s possible from a technical standpoint, at least on Bedrock. This would be like a chunk loader, which doesn’t exist on Bedrock. I’m 100% open to being wrong/corrected though!
I was thinking that too. My immediate thought for this was to put it facing furnaces so I could keep them operating while away from my base.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen an actually good suggestion. This is really cool and still Minecrafty enough to make sense.
Alex caves beholder moment
TPS 5
That's actually an amazing idea
Not to be like that but mojang probably won't add this, however I do think it's an awesome idea and someone should make a mod of this
FNAF in vanilla minecraft gonna be crazy.
this is very mcsm
Neat idea and very creative. A solution that would fit the existing blocks in minecraft is that observers and/or sculk sensors could be coded somehow to detect mobs in the same manner. Maybe in combination with mob heads. This way the player has to invent an alarm system, an ender pearl then teleports you back etc. This creates more creative gameplay.
basically, cctv camera in minecraft.
CCTV cameras in Minecraft might just solve the progression issue tbh
Ooooh security cameras but vanilla-sounding :D
This would be a great end update feature imo. Awesome
The two ender pearls and painting look like this: 👁👄👁
Very interesting idea! I would love to see something like this implemented. I would hope it would not be too buggy.
'Should' is maybe a bit strong
