Are Epstein files just going to be buried like that?

We all know there are big names in there,so they bury it.The kill Epstein to clean it.Everyone know this, and nothing we can do?

Edit:I not even American and know about how horrible the Epstein case is.How can America people just give up about this case. The case with hell lot of child rape and the case just drop. Many famous people involve and they are free.Only god knows what happen in Epstein Island.Because the people in power, they just shut it down

Edit 2:Hahahaha this is one the case when the justice can't be upheld because it against people in position. Many case like this but not many LIKE THIS BIG

There is still Ghislaine

and she knows where ALL of the evidence is hidden. Until she's out (parole) and can physically retrieve the evidence herself, we'll have to wait.

Not sure if there is 'physical' evidence but she did facilitate women for Epstien. More than likely knows who used his partner's victims as well.

She would think of something that Epstein didn't?

Ok_Cauliflower_3007

Possibly. I don't think he was particularly clever as a 'mastermind', he was relying purely on money and blackmail. On the other hand she's a Maxwell and already knows how things can go south when your crimes catch up to you so I wouldn't be at all surprised if she had a plan B.

Is Maxwell an infamous name?

BigDorkEnergy101

Her father was a media mogul/politician, and also a fraud - he embezzled millions from his own companies. He got into debt in the late 80s and things started falling apart. Not too long afterwards, he was found dead in ‘odd’ circumstances (initially presumed he drowned, but multiple pathologists couldn’t conclusively rule on his cause of death).

Ok_Cauliflower_3007

God I feel old.

u/BigDorkEnergy101 gave a pretty good summary. Think Rupert Murdoch, but about to be in huge legal trouble for emptying the employees’ pension fund when he ‘fell off his yacht’. Cause of death unclear, generally assumed to be either suicide or just a heart attack since he was not a particularly healthy living individual. Officially natural causes but the fraud came to light when his business collapsed after his death leading people to suggest he knew it was about to end and decided to go out on his own terms.

He had links to British, Soviet, and Israeli intelligence agencies although it’s unclear what exactly his connections were. He was buried in the Mount of Olives cemetery in Jerusalem though and a lot of Israeli politicians and former heads of their intelligence agency attended the funeral, so make of that what you will.

Oh and the yacht was the Lady Ghislaine, named after his daughter.

Think about the danger of a dead man switch.

Sure, it makes you staying alive extremely important to some people, but it makes your death valuable to even more.

Lilithslefteyebrow

The townhouse in New York was known to be covered in cameras and had a video control room. There’s physical evidence, tapes and probably secure digital files, out there. I doubt they’d go to the trouble of having so many hidden cameras and no failsafe backups.

Might be why Ghislaine is still alive, her death could trigger their publication. That’s how I’d have set it up, especially after Epsteins murder.

TemporaryProduct2279

She has evidence, she said once that she had made arrangements for everything to be released if anything happened to her while serving her sentence, she might not have a conscience about her crimes but is smart enough to let those implicated know that she won't end up dead in a cell under suspicious circumstances like Epstein without bringing them all down too

“They’re nothing, these girls,” Maxwell once told a confidante. “They are trash.”

Ghislaine doesn't even comprehend what conscience is, for her it's some silly commoners thing.

She is as much of a self-serving monster as Epstein was and there is no way she would try to endanger herself by releasing any hidden tapes, pictures or documents without getting something extremely valuable out of it.

True. Anyone who thought some magic list of child rapists was going to be released to the public is kidding themselves.

Available_Dingo6162

Expecting that people would be charged (besides Epstein and Jizzlaine, I mean) and have to testify in court, was not an unreasonable demand or expectation.

xOrion12x

Exactly. They said there are thousands of victims, and we are supposed to believe there are no clients and accept that they aren't going to prosecute anyone or hear any more victims. Case closed.

nothingbuthobbies

And honestly, it seems to me it would be naive to believe the list even if it were released. Epstein wasn't exactly a good guy except for that one little sex trafficking of children thing. The point of the list, if it exists, was to blackmail and coerce powerful people. It seems extremely gullible to think "Jeffrey Epstein was trafficking minors to prostitute to wealthy men as leverage, but he would never stoop so low as to lie about it on his private list that he kept for the totally legitimate purpose of keeping private records".

Chickenjon

That's far from the point. The Epstein list doesn't have to be a literal client list kept by him. Investigation would have surely turned up evidence like pictures, videos, calls, texts, emails, flight records, bank transactions, etc. Plenty of things highly incriminating of many people. Yet, where are all these things?

DontEatBananas

The FBI supposedly had hours upon hours of child abuse videos that Epstein had filmed. I cant imagine he was the solo perpetrator in them.

If there wasn't an available news story, I'm sure they'd make something up. IIRC, later in the week that the Panama papers were released, North Korea was suddenly very definitely threatening to use nuclear weapons on the west. After a few days, both stories were thin air.

They waited until they had a big distracting story, then released it on that weekend so it can be buried. There's no coincidence with the timing.

Zestyclose_Leg_3626

The reality is that those files were never going to matter.

We already know plenty of celebrities and business people and so forth who had close ties to epstein and documented regular trips to pedo island. Absolutely nothing has happened. And suddenly having even more evidence of it will similarly accomplish nothing. CLEARLY they just liked the vibes and never did anything illegal.

Similarly, even if we had a government that at all cared about justice it wouldn't accomplish much unless epstein was documenting every single thrust into a small child. And even then, it is his word against someone with a lawyer's.

PsychologicalArm6190

Here is something that no one wants to talk about:

  1. If we have the list public, it doesn't matter. Nothing will happen to the names on the list, because the list is barely evidence.

  2. Even if we have photos of famous people doing illegal stuff, it's probably not enough.. because guess what, photos (even video evidence) requires corroborating testimony. There's hundreds of hours of HD clear as day "freak off" videos.. and Diddy is about to skate. 15 year old VHS footage without 1st hand testimony isn't going to matter.

  3. There is zero evidence - zero - that supports the proposition that Epstein blackmailed people. We know it intellectually, because - here is the real real - he didn't have to blackmail people. He just had to slosh around money, give some rides on his jets, and he got introductions, access and influence. Blackmail might have been his plan, but he never had to blackmail because when your rich everyone just lets you do it.

KarmaRepellant

I think you're misunderstanding the blackmail part. There's evidence to suggest that Epstein was helped into the position where he was able to obtain the money and jets in the first place. Nobody thinks the blackmail material was for use by him personally to get money or personal favours - the theory is that it was for the use of his handlers to influence powerful people if necessary and ensure the political outcomes they wanted.

Doesn't really matter if you or I think this is true or not, I'm just explaining what people mean when they talk about Epstein collecting blackmail material.

Songwritingvincent

Some sanity. This conspiracy theory of a neat list that is being suppressed is so stupid. We and they know who was on the island, who was friends with Epstein etc. but there’s simply not enough evidence for anything criminal.

And the woman who reported them was still killed in a car bombing.

Sm4shaz

Yes - some think that was related to Daphne Caruana Galizia's next work which involved investigating organised crime and government corruption in Malta - it's thought she was killed in large part because the Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat reduced her police protection (he disliked her for much of her work investigated him specifically)

3 years before the Panama Papers she was arrested for mocking him on social media in 2013, and she'd had multiple violent incidents at their home (I recall multiple dogs being killed to intimidate them, and the building set on fire while the family slept)

We're still not certain if she was assassinated over the Panama Papers directly or because of her other anti-corruption reporting work in Malta. There is an ongoing trial of multiple people related to the company 17 Black - which seems to be linked to the Panama Papers and corruption within the government of Malta at the time - and they're the main suspects for her assassination.

Everything about this tells me that the list of clients is far worse than anyone imagined, and the names on it are powerful leaders with the means to make it disappear. If the list is ever published (which I don't think it will be) it'll be when everyone on it is already dead.

Even with the files gone, aren’t the victims still out there? I mean, how many hoops do you have to jump through for excuses as to why so few have spoken up? Maybe it’s possible that only a select few were as fucked up in that aspect as Epstein?

drumpat01

My thought is that the victims were drugged, blind folded, or both in order to make sure they couldn't identify anyone. And even if they can identify any one person who was there, eye witness testimony isn't worth anything anymore. You have to have something concrete to back it up.

27Rench27

Yup. Probably a solid amount of threats involved, given how many powerful people we actually already know were on the flight logs.

The problem is there's lots of rich & powerful people on the list, by Epstein's design. A whole lot of people across the political spectrum want that list to disappear.

drumpat01

Yes, sadly. Any record of who was coming to that island is long gone. I believe Epstein knew that if he didn't kill himself, they would come for him. So someone made sure those cameras were off so he could kill him self that night.

All of the records of who visited that island are 100% gone. There might be video of those acts that remain, but there will never be a conviction or a charge. They will say the video is "inconclusive." It's been years under both political parties. Between the original sweetheart deal in 2009 to his death in 2019, Epstein had 10 years to scrub everything from every location. Anyone who did use that island had a decade to make it look like they were never there. That place was likely scrubbed top to bottom with bleach to remove any DNA evidence.

There's nothing left to find. It's over.
