why is everyone all of a sudden playing ball? he went from being in maybe one or two games out of ten to now being in nearly all of them??
Matchmaking is horrible this week, not playing until they do something, they mentioned something about focusing on what players are playing in the game, too many options thinning out the player base for the core game modes.
They need to pick a mode and stick with it as main, then rotate other modes for fun or something. So strange to have 5 player, and 6 player modes, then have stadium. I had to search to see what was the main way to play the game.
So… in Stadium you could see what got affected by Weapon/Ability Power etc… as in, below the percentage it would tell you what was affected by said stat. Was this removed? Or did a setting get changed somehow?
This might have been worded incorrectly but I really don’t know how to describe it. Ive been looking online and on this sub for an answer but cant seem to find it. Hopefully someone knows.
Thanks!
There's a button in the bottom right to toggle it. I didn't check in the last few days if they removed it, but it seems a lot more likely that you accidentally turned it off
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was so frustrated, turns out I did accidentally turn it off.
Need help, I've been playing on steam deck for a couple of years and finally got a PC, moved everything to it but now my Moira prismatic skin is locked even though I already bought it, what can I do?
It’s back now btw
It’s bugged and they’re working on it, been a couple weeks now
Is it just me or have the arcade modes not changed in days??
Is blizzard actively banning smurf accounts? does reporting do anything?
smurfing is not a bannable offense
boosting for money or purposely deranking is.
they did some stuff like smurfs get placed higher now and they made the leaderboards only accessible to people with 750+ comp wins in total.
but reporting a smurf is pointless.
Oh interesting ok.
I was booted from Stadium in map one for inactivity because I stayed on point while my team kept pushing the enemy back towards their spawn. I thought it’d be smart to have someone on point in case their Reaper teleported in.
It felt like it came out of nowhere since I had gotten an elimination in the previous fight, but since there was no way to get from the objective (arena map) to their spawn to get a tick of damage within ten seconds I was kicked out.
What’s the takeaway from that/how do you stop that from happening again? Ignore the objective in stadium and only focus on dealing damage?
AFK timer sucks for situations like that, but the main reason I'd strongly advise against staying back when your team pushes in stadium specifically is that if you don't deal damage, healing or get kill participation for half the round, you'll get no cash for it, and that will give you a big disadvantage in the next rounds. And in general, it's better to stay somewhat grouped in situations like that because if your team is already close to their spawn, and also in a 4v5, it becomes much more likely that they will end up dying quickly and the enemy pushing the point. Of course you should always have at least one person far enough back to rotate to the point if an enemy reaches it, but not on the point itself
you basically never need to stay on the actual objective once your team controls it (obviously not counting push/payload). it's almost always better to hold forward space instead. ideally, your team would be positioned such that some of them are close enough to get back to the point before it's flipped.
think about it this way: if you weren't there, what happens? sure, reaper TPs to point, but it takes him like 10s to capture it. that gives someone on your team time to go back and contest him and stop the cap, or your team can finish off whatever kills they're trying to get and then flip the point back in a 5v4 (or better) fight.
especially if your team was holding forward for so long that you got AFK kicked, then you definitely had nothing to worry about if reaper had successfully flipped the point.
Has anyone else been getting hit by 2-3 take aim shots in one shot from Freja? No cooldowns used at time of shot. Happens at random and as early as round one.
Literally results in an instant death if it happens.
Have experienced this in 2 games now and have seen the streamer warn experience it, though I don't think he realised what it was when it happened.
Are you sure it's not the power that fires a take aim bolt after using updraft? That can fire two bolts at basically the same time if you also quick scope one
That power doesn't fire a take aim bolt, but it grants another (a third) dash after updraft. Dash resets take aim. It is possible early game to almost immediately fire 3 take aim bolts early on and later when you have the power you can almost immediately fire 3 and get a fourth off shortly after.
Good Frejas that can track well can get them off on one target. I suck but can usually get 3 off right away on tank. Or I spray and pray into grouped up teammates and sometimes get lucky and pick someone off.
Cyclone: When you use [Updraft], fire a [Take Aim] bolt at your crosshair.
I think you're thinking about the major perk? As the question stated "round 1", this is about stadium
Absolutely certain as it's happened round one when a different power has been picked and that only affects left click not right click
post a clip of it and see what people think
stupid question related to kiriko in stadium,
kiriko's power "fleet foot" (the one that allows her to TP without a target) doesn't work with my usual TP keybind, which is m5 (mouse button), but it will work if i bind it to a key on my keyboard. m5 will still work for TP-ing *with* a target, just not without one. i have had issues with mouse buttons not working properly as keybinds before, but never in overwatch.
i'm aware this is the smallest issue, i'm just not at all used to having that ability bound to any other button/key and my muscle memory is not there for it at all. is there any explanation for this, or is it just a very small and specific bug? :,) thank q!
Sorry for the naive question, but how exactly does the headshot function work for Widowmaker?
Because I thought you had to wait for the 100% stat when aiming, but it doesn't seem like that because my targets stay standing, so where am I going wrong?
You'll headshot when you hit the head, but you'll do less damage if you don't charge up the shot first
you can always headshot, percentage just determines how much damage you'll do.
but if you want to oneshot on the head you have to let the gun charge up until about 67% (?) youll get a feeling for it eventually.

Why are most people's profiles private? Like I can't even see what rank people are. I've never played a game that kept a persons rank private.
Is there a reason for this?
In starcraft this was really important to allow the community to find bad actors and report them, but also see what they lose to, and what they tend to do so you can learn (like you can go watch replays of any top player any time)
If someone is having a really bad game (like 1-10) is it throwing, or a bad game? Their history can help you understand that.
If someone is 40-1, are they a smurf, or having a really good game? Same thing.
Because Blizz made them private by default, which is stupid imo.
They can't even be bothered to make it so that you'll know someone got a private profile before right clicking on their name.
