Not even flashpoint lovers like NJC. Generational flop of a map.
I've had multiple people vote NJC. Always like to remind them that the Flashpoint reworks aren't in the game yet.
Literally a favorite of mine.
Prefer it to most Payload maps tbqh.

I unironically enjoy it more than King's Row (and I love King's Row). The stretch from Point 1 to Point 2 is the best in the game IMO.

The first choke can be so awful if the enemy team has a sym/torb/junkrat etc, and then so is the choke under the big archway right after the first point cap. Also I feel as though my teams never know how to coordinate around the high ground between the first and second point. Idk i may be one of the only eichenwalde haters lol

All 3 Points are kinda ass, but we have 7+ years of experience and nostalgia with a lot of the jank of the map being self explantory.

Eichenwalde is also goated, but nothing beats Kings Row
Kings Row holds a special place in my heart but I won't deny that Eichenwalde is a close second of mine. Honestly, I think the the middle section of Eichenwalde is peak OW. There's so many playstyles that work here and, even though it's a pretty open area, it never feels oppressive by hitscans or snipers.
I've had the most bonker crazy ass plays in that middle part of Eichenwalde. The final part is kinda meh imo. A bit too claustrophobic for a pretty open map.

Stats: In the rounds where they noticed the least voted map getting picked, it got picked 100% of the time.
Remember, the only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down!
It happened twice so it's true. No I won't tell you the total sample size.
It's all just anecdotal. I have seen the least voted map chosen 3 times now, and 2 of those were this past weekend. I also don't constantly have leavers in stadium like others claim.

Honestly, it's stupid. Why not go for the most votes? Then, if it's a tie use or that system srsly blizzard, then we wouldn't have trolls like this.

If people hate a map so much they keep voting it out, maybe it shouldn't be in the pool. Of course I imagine the entire purpose of this tool is to collect data on which maps people hate the most. Otherwise it seems like a pretty pointless game of roulette designed to amuse trolls and piss everyone else off.

Disagree. if an overwhelming majority of players hate a map, they shouldn't be under any obligation to play it to appease the 1-5% of players who like it . In fact, it should be removed entirely

King’s Row is #1 overall map, Eichenwalde is #2, not a bad trade.
Because of the map vote I haven’t been able to play the new map yet. I’m the literal only person to vote for it in my games

I just hate flashpoint. People in this sub keep saying it requires a different style of play that is faster paced.
Except I feel like the flashpoint maps require you to use mobile heroes if you want to have an advantage. If you're late to a point, you have 1 maybe 2 chances to regroup and fight again, and if you're staggered, you might as well just regroup for the next point.
Additionally, spawn camping is totally rampant and you can get snowballed easily by a team leaving the point and camping your spawn door. There's hardly any incentive to stay on the point once you've capped.
Overall, I think flashpoint, as a game mode, is specifically tailored for certain heroes. Whereas in every other game mode, certain heroes are tailored for certain maps.
I would say I win maybe a third to just under half of the flashpoint games I play, it gives me the least amount of fun vs. The other game modes (clash not included because it's not in comp).

I'm a mobile sup enjoyer so I personally never feel it too badly but it does always feel like you're either getting rolled or doing the rolling. That is most probably the reason.
Never feels good to lock in the likes of Ana or Zen on these maps unless you're in significantly better teams etc
I liked the new map a lot, I think it's the coolest map on Flashpoint so far.
I also don't hate flashpoint, but I think it's more adequate to qp than ranked.
I really want to properly play it but I've just been grinding ranked whenever I play lately.
My first impression wasn't negative even tho my team got absolutely steam rolled the few times I got to play it.. I think it's one of the better maps they've dropped in ovw2 for sure.

Those modes exist, but it requires at least 2 brain cells. Unfortunately, the community only has one brain cell, and they're all sharing it.

I have no idea how they hadn't fixed the map voting yet. If a map doesn't get at least 25% of the votes, it shouldn't even get a shot.. But until something is done, I'll always pick the underdog.

I track all my game with a spreadsheet and compute winrate by map, so every time I pick the map with the highest winrate which often put me in the 1 extra mapvote that nobody picked 😅
Every time kings row is in the map pool and doesn’t get chosen, a thousand puppies and kitties die as a result, let’s do better as a community for the kitties and puppies and always choose kings row

It’s always those two that get picked. I get they’re popular but it does get tedious to play the same maps all the time like second game in a row playing defense on watch point.

If players vote overwhelmingly for a single map, that map is automatically selected.
From the patch notes. I've seen several times where there is an overwhelming vote majority not have it auto pick. It clearly isn't working.
I assumed they mixed "overwhelmingly" up with "unanimously"
TBH given who the company is, you'd think that stuff like that wouldn't have happened. The word mix up completely changes the meaning of that statement. It's not the biggest issue, but when it's been a days or whatever since that patch note and there still hasn't been an adjustment, it just becomes frustrating.
One would think that the person writing the notes would confirm with the developers of the changes what to put.

Overwhelming =/= Unanimous.
An overwhelming amount of people wanted Route 66. That is generally understood that there may be an amount greater than 0 people that wanted a different map, but were the very clear minority.
Route 66 won by unanimous votes, there were 0 votes for any other map.

IMHO the vote should be for a mode not a map. I.e. push, Flashpoint, hybrid etc and let the system pick the map from the mode that wins.
I'm only mad if the pick is ANY Clash map because this mode is just absolutely horrendous and shouldn't even exist and the new Aatlan or whatever it's named map because it's just terrible in every possible way and it feels like Ai put it together. Which is what it probably is. It's bland, generic and terrible to play on. Just get it out of my face.
