Alright, breaking out my banhammer in preparation for this...
You will never stop me from cuddling my Melpacca, its been my main pal and MOUNT since release. There are faster mounts, but none near as cuddly.
I tried cuddling up to Woolipop but not only were they always sticky but they are the evilest pal in existence.

The first Woolipop I encountered hyperbeamed me lol. I came back and added it to my team after and it never lost so it just became a joke after that in my playthrough :).
My hopes is they let us also join them in the spa, imagine both Depresso and the player face down drowning in the water side by side, that'd be hilarious!

Yes but you need to do arena battles (there is a solo mode) a new npc that sells the required item is by the door.

D4 is "fine" , the seasonal schtick is stale , endgame is dull, I still play on and off.

Do I need to create a new world?
no. however - the updates always address early and late game content. So if you are far ahead you may have to either back track to see what new things were added to early game or you can simply start a new world.

Recommended because depending on where you made your bases, the new laboratories that were added might be in the same spot and break your base
Accessing the palbox everywhere and dumping the inventory into nearby chests is gonna make life so much easier!
Anywhere [in base] its not placeable outside of a base. Though that is mostly for those that have complex multi-floor bases
Yeah, I have a multi floor base and going back to the ground floor every time was incredibly time consuming and annoying
I built my tower with a hole in it for grappling upwards and jumping down
I just restarted and those updraft things are a huge time server real early game as well.

Is the terraria part time limited?
Traditionally, Terraria's crossover stuff has been permanent with all its games. Minecraft still has their little Terraria note, Don't Starve Together still has the gear, the Dryad is still in Dungeon Defenders 2, etc. etc.
Unless Nintendo finds some reason to get pissed off, I'd say that the Terraria stuff is there to stay.

I can't get an exact number, but from what I could find it looks like were sitting at about 20 pals

Anyone noticing significant performance issues on PC right after updating? I used to run full steady 60 with the occasional hiccup after loading big areas, but now I'm suffering from 50-40 fps at base and moving the camera too fast drops from 60 to 55 outside of base.
No settings were touched, what happened?

These new islands are... small. Like, really small, a little smaller than the sanctuaries. Am I missing a bigger one that they added? I've found three islands so far, two snow ones and one tropical one.
there has been content added to water gameplay. So you can think of the new areas including the ocean - wherein you can 1 - check out the pals new swimming animation and 2 - fish for deep sea items while using a water pal mount.
There are also a plethora of changes to dungeons.

At first i tought "oh, this is cute" until i remembered that there are some "pals" that are somewhat humanoid > Palworld has become the ALMOST ultimate goon game (sex update will be next where you will be able to breed humans with pals to place at base)

Has anyone figured out how to "strengthen your weapons" yet, or was that just a mistranslation and they just meant new weapons available? Or perhaps meant that theres quality blueprints in them?

I'm excited to try the fishing out, hope it's less of a random keystroke surprise than Ark fishing.
I think the only issue I have been having with Palworld is just that pals craft items from the bottom floor if the crafting station is a few floors higher up, instead of walking up the stairs to the station. Otherwise things seem really polished.
Its a keep the fish icon in the green bar kind of mini game. The bar is large but not much room for error with some pals
This sounds insane fingers crossed they fixed my save game error.

So all the new npc faction bases that show up, almost all of the enemies can attack thru the walls and doors even though you’re far enough away or a floor down or up.
Sick update! Having played in many months but have been waiting for missions and such for those of us who prefer single player content
Ran into a bug with the Desperate Farmer near the Small Settlement where she took a watering Pal, but the mission didn't complete and she'll no longer take a Pal. Anyone know how to fix?

I found the arcade in the Fishing Town near the volcano.
Currently exchanging tickets at the pal arena vendor is bugged for me. My controls get locked out but no purchase window appears so I have to return to title and log back in to get control of my char again.

I stopped playing between November and December on PS5 and I also no longer have a PSN (active from 2008 to 2024). At the time I also didn't test the multiplayer but it seemed to be local multiplayer. Please could you clarify if there is now multiplayer via PSN (with several players in the lobby like other games) or if it continues the same as before?
I have a question : the collab with terraria is a limited time event? Or can I do it when I want? I'm in uni so I don't have too much time :(

There's the regular Whalaska to the north of the Astral Mountain. AFAIK, those are the only new Alphas found in the world

That surgery table is the one thing I wanted. Now I can actually breed Bellanoir without tearing my hair out trying to get a male.
Gonna make getting 0 passive breeding pairs so much easier.
Or you're trying to breed, and just get bad gender rolls. I can't count the number of times I've been breeding towards a goal, and gotten the wrong gender for the next pair.
Sadly it seems like you can't remove passive skills entirely, only override them with a new one. There is also only a limited selection of passive skills to choose from. Still some useful ones like Nocturnal, Philanthropist, Ferocious and Mercy Hit. No diamond/tier 3 traits though.
EDIT: Seems like you can buy implants from bounty hunters, I saw Artisan for sale in one of their inventories.
You can get serenity, runner and infinite stamina for the merchant at the pal arena.
Overwriting passives is potentially huge for raid bosses as well depending on how it works. No longer will I have to pull the Dr Brawn slot machine in hopes of rolling a passive I want.
I'm a lover of breeding but an alternative for people that would prefer to grind combat rather than sitting at a ranch base pairing pals over and over is a great option
(it also makes all those damn 1-off breeds I get salvageable.)
I still haven't found that mofo on my server. I swear he never spawns for me.
This is such a godsend. A problem with each major update is that when new passives get released, ya have to re-breed your Pals to make them fully optimized again. This'll cut out so much regrinding and let us keep growing attached/buffing our faves as more updates drop.
Finally, i want an all girl team. (changing passives is neat too)
