She challenged me to a battle, so I battled! Was I only supposed to take out her pal? Lmao
I guess I should have figured you can't talk to a dead person π
You were supposed to capture her! She could have become your loyal Archmage.
I actively try to avoid capturing humans in this playthrough. My 6yo daughter watches me play, and has started her own world. She keeps capturing humans π lmao
Hey, it's just rescuing them from a life of constant danger and potential death at the hands of a less altruistic opponent...is what I tell all of my brainwashed slaves.
Time to teach her about Dr Brawn
The best reason to capture a human in Palworld
We are allowed to capture and breed the humans?Β This isn't the first time I've realized that I've been playing the game wrong.
Capture yes, breed no. Unless one of the updates added that when I wasn't looking.
You can, however, condense humans and empower them, and use some of the new options to add passive and skills to them...
Passives do not affect humans, only condensing and skill fruits (also food).
Can I butcher them? Not a fan of butchering the poor pals for meat.
My 5 year old who plays loves to capture humans. Does it concern me...sure...but, you know, future me problems.
Lmao! My 6yo is a lot more bold in the game because I had her on "keep inventory" so she has all these legendary sphears from salvaging piles in high level areas. She is doing really well, I'm actually kind of impressed.
The amount of spheres you get from junk piles and chests is obscene.
I checked my achievements and on this playthrough; I am level 63 and have made exactly 11 spheres. It would have been 10, but I had to make 1 to progress the missions when those dropped.
I have 1k+ exotic and 3k+ ultimate along with gross numbers of the others.
The achievement to craft 2000 spheres (or whatever it is) either needs to be changed or adjusted because at this point, it's just an achievement that says "I wasted a bunch of resources for this achievement!"
What areas are you going to where you find all these orbs?
Junk piles everywhere give orbs based on the level of the zone and a lot of open world chests do too. If you're more into swimming, salvage seems to also give spheres whether you need a magnet or not.
For the more combat focused players, most human enemies drop spheres as well. I got in the habit of raiding the open world bases every time I pass them because sometimes they have pals that aren't available in the area that you're in trapped in the cages (this is almost always how I get my first jolthog cryst). Since they have upgraded the bases from small camps to actual buildings, I've been clearing those to get building ideas.
Those buildings generally come with a handful of chests as well and usually about half have some sort of sphere in them.
And finally, they are literally laying on the ground everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but there's a LOT of spheres on the ground relative to the number of pals you'd want to catch. Feybreak has yellow/green spheres freaking everywhere. Drives me nuts when I think there's a piece of hexolite crystal in the ground "over there" and nope, it's just a sphere.
I craft so many... how are you getting that many from chests/piles?
That's one of the things I really like about this game, both adults and kids can have a blast playing this game. Male, female, old and young, this game has a wide audience. There really aren't many games like this.
If you encounter a pal tamer on an early island they drop lore on the nature of pal battles.
These fights are all to the death. It's uhh, tradition. The Palapagos folks don't mess around, it's live fire or nothing apparently.
Except in the Arena that like, rewinds time.
Just so you know.
You have unused stat points.
Thanks, I tend to use them all at once every few levels or before a boss fight haha
Hold X to ride her
Noooooio π
You were supposed to kill the pal and catch her
I knocked out a tamer and I got a notice stating that I committed a crime. So I guess in Palworld if someone shoots at you and you defend yourself but somehow "kill" the tamer you're at fault.
How did you get a lvl 31 Jormuntide? 0_o from an egg and then lvled up?
Yes, actually I neeeeded a lvl 4 waterer. Haha
I got her working my base. It was an accident, if not the twitch of an impulse. But it just took a basic sphere to the back of her dome. I thought it'd be harder.
Everyone saying that you are supposed to capture the pal and even the her. When are we going to get people that have other people as their pal?
Okay, but this is a seriously meta idea and I am here for it
Imagine an NPC and they want to fight, then pull out a freaking human π
I think one of the Bounty targets in Feybreak is mentioned to capture humans if you talk to one of the NPCs that gives info on bounties. Actually kind of a shame that they didn't bust one out in the fight.
Holds X to ride
You guys are all awful π lmao
X: Ride
You guys are the worst π
If you can attack her, what happens if you throw a Pal Sphere at her? And it caught her? Does the battle end? What happened to her Pals? Do they just go 'poof'?
If you attack her, the pal will fight you so you'll have to capture/kill both. If you capture/kill her first, you still have to capture/kill the pal because it'll be actively attacking you
Sweet! I thought I will lose all those Pals under her.
Had that happen with a different npc lol
I captured her
This ain't pmon...kill or be killed here in Palpagos
You can always claim them as trophies and put them in a cell with their pal for display.
I always just catch the humans
You understood the assignment. It's a deathmatch between tamers, alongside their Pals.
Only ways to spare either the Pal or tamer are to either run or capture.
But then what's the point, it's not like she dropped any rewards π haha
They sometimes have access to pals not available until a later area
As well as breed/alpha-only Pals, such as Relaxaurus Lux, Elphidran Aqua, and Lyleen Noct.
No hand to slap the ball away this time lol.
That mechanic belongs to N
You mean the big N says I can't slap people's balls anymore? Those bastards!
Well, there goes my social life.
You mean Nintendo, it's not a dirty word. Just a shitty company
In this community itβs a bad word
So I've seen and it's incredibly stupid. Name and shame the bastards and don't make it seem like they have any level of power or influence in this community.
how dare you be so foul mouthed with children around.
How dare children be around when I have a foul mouth?
I hope one day I can reach this level of villainy
I was really confused reading this because there is a character named N in that series, and he's unique in that you can catch his creatures.
I should have specified Big N
Pal tamers like this are not the first or only Pal tamers in the game, and the reason for battle is supremacy, over all. Wild Pals are easy to beat, but a human tamer is an intelligent danger.Β
Your rewards are either dominance through their deaths, or a new human and/or Pal (usually not found in their area of operation). I do agree that they should also drop ammo or schematics, though.
Their pal is the reward.
Their pal? Oh..... looks at box of captured tamers
Lmao
The real pals are the friends we caught along the way.
Ah. Then it was no loss this time, she only had a woolipop
I thought for a while that after fighting the tower boss on hard, you scalped the character and took their hair. Killing them in the process. Since there was no reason to go back in a 3rd time, I believed this to be the case.
I think that's just a game mechanic. My attachment to the lore has taken a backburner until they've finished cementing what is and what isn't in-universe.
Wait why? Do you get something for beating them on hard? Iβve never bothered to try
Access to additional expedition sites, crystals for instantly boosting your pals levels, and a wig from the boss. So you can get each of their unique hairstyles as a cosmetic. While the wig doesn't have great stats, you can use the appearance on a good piece of head armor using the antique dresser. I really liked Zoe's pigtails on my character.
Just getting their hairstyles is worth it, dang lmao. Thanks! Guess I know what Iβm doing next!
Some of them look really good.
Yeah wow this is news to me. By hard do you mean you have to start a new game? Or just switch settings to "hard" on game startup. Or is it something with the tower. I currently have my game difficulty in custom just to add extra pals to base.
I had once a pal tamer who attacked me, but when I fought back it was a crime somehow....
If they catch a stray prior to dialogue and battle acceptance, they'll aggro, and killing them then is a crime (I still think it's a bug implemented during their NPC crime alteration patch).
Not sure really, but his name was also something like mean paltamer or something like that. We talked (I think he was bragging about how great he is) sends his pal out which attacked me, was the blue hangyu. But all I did before was landing with my glider and then talking, so I had not shot in his direction or something, hadn't even my pal out π€£
When you talked, it's likely you accepted his challenge, and after you killed him, the bug of "criminal activity underway" popped up. Like I said, it was a minor bug introduced the same patch that made attacking a Black Marketeer a crime.
Oh my god the black marketeer in the desert running me down with a railgun when I hit him on accident was a moment of pure terror for me
The crime underway already came with my first shot π€£ maybe I should've aimed for his pal instead first π but well the wanted didn't last long π€£
