I liked it. I see the dense spots!
Just because it shows more than that. Maybe roads I can see. But I don’t see borders. Just because it shows multiple things doesn’t mean it doesn’t show what you said it does. It clearly shows people live in cities. Some people are so all or nothing.

What they’re really saying is it doesn’t look like a population density map because it’s showing individual locations instead of color-coded geographic boundaries.
My counterpoint is that it still demonstrates people live in cities. 🙂

No? I didn’t do a side-by-side comparison but you can clearly see the dark red spots around Madrid, Paris, Marseille, London, and so on.
Yeah but you can also clearly see other non city trends, like national borders or transportation corridors.
