Hi, Alex Trebek here.
This brand is infamous for its proprietary connectors, which change frequently, leading to longtime users being forced to chain together multiple converters as in this image.
Mayor West?
I’m sorry, we were looking for “What is Apple?” It seems like you said “What is Kebert Xela” - oh no.
Beautiful character work here.
...they don't use proprietary connectors anymore?

Not due to lack of trying
Apple devices usually don't have many ports present in most other brands which forces the user to use a platera of different adapters to plug for example a HDMI cable into the device.
Computer science Stewie out!
pros have hdmis i think. the one with limited ports are the airs
HDMI port was missing in 2016–2019 Pros, but the most commonly used port which requires an adapter is USB-A (replaced by Type-C for USB and Thunderbolt on 2016).
wasn’t there a Pro without HDMi?
I work at conferences, had a slight memory that there was a time when i always had to give adapters to Apple users so that they could connect to the projector (pretty sure one of the generations before had just display ports for video)
I had a 2016 and have a 2019 macbook pro, they dont have any. However more stuff uses USB C now so its not as of a big deal as it was before
a lot of places still use hdmi a lot, so it'd be wise to have a dp-hdmi wire imo. i saw someone with an air using those multi-port dongles lol. glad they brought back the ports in the new models
use a platera
Brian here. The spelling is actually 'plethora.' Like, hehe, when I was sitting down to write the other day, I'm a writer you know, two books published, but I was sitting down to write the other day and I just had a plethora of ideas.
Who's a dog got to lick to get a drink around here?
The autocorrect in my phone changed it to the spelling from my native language I guess lol
I usually assume it's autocorrect, but I wanted to get into the spirit of the sub.
Ooh thanks
I'm no fan of apple but I have to say ... The picture is literally not an apple product
The funniest thing are all the Windows stickers on it, lol
Why they showing a Windows laptop?
Because racism, that's why.
My question here is does this configuration actually read/write?
I’m pretty sure there’s a PS/2 to USB adaptor in there. So no.
IPhone users really have the courage to say it's better than Android, when this is the bullshit they need to pull to use a simple wired headphone
flagship androids don't have headphone jacks either
This aged like milk like 5 years ago, even then on older "dumb" phones you had to use adapters to use headphones.
This is just not true anymore.
most people use bluetooth.
there are really cheap or the actual apple earbuds with type c, +good dongles have been available for years & if you have an iem or detachable headphones there's also dac cables. i use an iem, my jack sometimes sucks and it can't do lossless lol.
Please tell your iPhone friends that if they use the previous headphones given to them by Apple with their phone it should work because it’ll plug into the charging port instead.
On a personal note, I use iPhone because 1) it connects files and schedules with all my devices without doing a thing and 2) they were all gifts. I’ve never bought an Apple product myself. I just let people offer to upgrade things for me when I use them for years.
Source: I was given a set with my iPhone 14.
This only shows you have a crappy old phone. Premium Samsungs don’t have aux ports neither do pixels. Let me guess you have a Samsung a15 and you think iPhones suck?
I don’t use wired headphones like it’s 2010.
Apple remove ports. People use port converters
Serious question; would that really work ?
Apple is infamous for using its own brand-unique system of ports, plugs and externals, reducing compatibility with other tech.
The joke is that this is forcing the owner of the laptop to use an unholy amalgamation of adapters to connect a regular USB drive to their device.
While I acknowledge the legitimate criticism directed at apple laptops by this meme (as I type this on a macbook air -- the worst offender), that it not an apple laptop shown.
To get FireWire on my MacBook I need to go usb-c - Thunderbolt - FireWire800 - Firewire400. I need it to connect my old mixer.
With enough adaptors, they say you can plug a USB into a typewriter
The laptop has a usb port, meaning they could’ve just plugged the flash drive into the computer directly
Apple removed the audio Jack for the iPhone, and you have to use a ridiculous connector to use a headset with a cord; and said cord goes directly into the charging port
Hey, ho neighbourino, Ned Flanders here, to explain this little problem. You see, because the Apple is a hellish fruit designed by the devil, to lead man into depravity and destruction has the company of apple decided to use their very own connector cables. These cables, however, are not designed to fit into the ports, many other tech companies have agreed to use. Thus, this poor, poor child of God had to use many connector cables, chained together to connect this USB stick to a computer.
Okely dokely, I am off now.
This was a cool concept 5 years ago.
My new Apple has no where to put my floppy disk!!!!
Apple user, and I have a little box of many of those adapters, just in case.
(of course, that setup is nonsensical, but it just might be functional.)
DONGEL LIFE!!!
OP, so your post is not removed, please reply to this comment with your best guess of what this meme means! Everyone else, this is PETER explains the joke. Have fun and reply as your favorite fictional character for top level responses!
