This is a conversation Tony Soprano had with the soon-to-be-ex (black) boyfriend of his new-to-college daughter, Meadow Soprano.

I guess spoilers below, even though the show is nearly a quarter century old.

Most of the guys in Tony's gang were straight up racist, as this conversation showcased. Pay off the whole story arc of the show, starting from the first episode, was Tony's need for therapy because of the double life as a "waste disposal" company & nightclub (er, strip club) owner and family man, and being one of the most powerful mobsters in New Jersey. It gave him panic attacks so bad he would pass out.

So this scene shows how he's fucking up the crumbling mafia empire, and more importantly his family. Both of which he's trying to save. Because racism.

The UK is not in a good spot. Scotland regrets voting against leaving the UK a few years before Brexit. Northern Ireland is none too happy either. More and more people are turning on the royals. A growing number want the monarchy gone. Then you get Prince Harry giving up his royal status to move to the US to try and make it in Hollywood. Many blame Meghan Markle for the Royal split. There have been reports that many other royals are crypto racists & some have been overheard making racist remarks about her when she's not around.
