A billion dollar company can't hire designers and has to use AI for a bullshit meme
Amazon, they are so very cheap, even with the billions they have. Maybe the higher ups are pressuring them to start using their ai tools they spend 2000$ on monthly for no reason.
Someone spent a bunch of money on an SPC program when I just set up the 6 sigma rules in a spreadsheet which was much easier to use for the production workers but QC management still wanted to use the package. I had to show 2 layers up in management how to use the SPC package and they still relied on me to generate and interpret the data when it was one button to press to use the spreadsheet which generated a simple adjust or in control message so even the operators could use it.
Management always thinks expensive tools solve problems instead of just asking the people using them for efficiency suggestions.
management always thinks spending = profit, i dont get how the fuck companies havent started hiring actually informed professionals, maybe even people that know more about the subject your company works on than general economics. how the fuck is someone supposed to run a project when only people below him actually know the tools and have the knowledge required to complete it?? he should be the one above managing money taxes and nothing more
Remember when Microsoft and Intel axed 10000 jobs? Each?
I remember that. That was cooooooool
Claude is way behind some of the other AI that’s available.
Any company using memes in ads 🤮
Words can't describe how much I despise it
Billion dollar company 🤮
*trillion 😔
I'm literally seeing shit like this everywhere now, on the Internet and on billboards 🤬
Probably must be late millenials and early gen Z peoples getting their first advertisement gigs after school or some shit. You'd expect they are aware of the cringe but marketing is filled with shameless sluts
Or they are aware of the cringe, but are trying for ironic.
SOMEONE among the higher ups HAS to have looked this over and approved it.
Yes, their boomer supervisors and they probably loved it.
What is it about memes in an advertisement that is so triggering for you guys?
The appropriation and commercialisation of one of those few areas of culture that truly originated with the people, rather than as a product of the corporate entertainment complex.
I’ve stopped buying from some businesses purely out of spite for this kind of slop marketing lolol
Bruh, Jeff Bezos himself looks like he was generated by ChatGPT on a free trial. What you expect...
i hate these ads because they're so bad you cant tell whether its an actual reddit post
Or just use the main template and edit it, I mean it's not licensed bro, wtf is wrong with amazon
Probably ignorant question but how do you guys know the meme is ai
when you prompt ai to draw comic like mono color images like these it tends to converge to the same style so it's pretty recognizable. Another giveaway is the vacant/emotionless stares, in this case it's not so noticable. Another one is the coloring is inconsistent, the first guy wasn't colored. Finally you have small artifacts like the 4 random dots on the left of the center guy's head, an artist wouldn't do that, the ai just did it because it kinda looks like what an artist would do (adding more detail on the haircut).
Another one is the coloring is inconsistent, the first guy wasn't colored.
Not refuting that this is AI (this probably is), but in the OG bell curve meme, the left guy is also not colored compared to the other 2.
Iirc it was grayscale npc in og
oh true
not ignorant at all! ai is developing really quickly. while this art doesnt look bad, i think its mostly the thought process behind it that makes it obviously AI. we all know how cheap and evil amazon is to their employees. no way in hell they hired an artist to draw a meme, nor would they risk copyright issues over a reddit ad, by directly stealing art.
this, coupled with TINY errors, make it obviously AI. the art style is a very clean lineart, with flat colors. this is executed well, throughout the image, except:
- middle man's glasses aren't completely drawn in the inner right lens.
- the dots in middle man's hair are sloppy. these dots are very ai-like (random, nonsensical).
- middle man's polo collar makes no sense. one side is an actual polo collar, the other closes, so it looks more like a lapel.
- first kid's hair lines dont make the most sense, they seem kinda random.
- last man's hair on the left tucks into his glasses, though the other side is shorter.
I can't really explain it but I just know something is AI by just one look, because they just ooze of soulless-ness.
Because it barely makes sense, just relies on a popular template to appear funny
They can't even check what they sell on their store
Considering the actual meme template is pretty much free use, this is just....dumb on so many levels. Whoever made this must be huffing pure CEO farts.
Ehmm, yeah? How Jeff is suppose to pay his new pool? Duh
/s
there is a reason they have so much money, they dont pay anyone but themself
Ironically, it fits with their dogshit meme. Although they could have just used the normal one
It's probably a scam and not the real amazon
Oh ffs that's what I thought "is this fucking ai???"
Yeah.....i mean if for example we are talking about a small business in the third world that barely can survive and its only option its using ai for marketing so they can finally earn enough to grow ...totally fine , but a billion dollar company using ai....now thats horrible.
Even more ironic since the guy on the right is supposed to be Ted Kaczinsky
The ugliest version of this template I have seen so far.
Well it is AI generated.
Also unrelated but it's kind of interesting how that image has no visual errors to speak of but everyone can tell it's AI from how void of character the image is. Gives me hope that even if AI gets better we will still be able to discern that distinct lack of soul.
Looks like AI slop.
At first I thought this was a meme about piracy. Like: "Just get Prime. 6 months for £0" - this is about a special offer from Amazon "Just get Prime. 6 months for £0" - or you can... Well... Pirate all the content, it's free!
AI? In one of the easiest memes to create? No thanks.
Jeff Bezos himself looks like he was generated by ChatGPT on a free trial. What can we expect...
Like, the prompt took more time than the traditional meme.
Corporate memes are so cringe, jesus Christ...
I'm not even that mad at Amazon for using AI, it's the nature of the ad that makes me ick.
You can absolutely despise both aspects. In fact, you should.
So I get 6 months of Prime for free
That means I can watch all the movies, RIGHT???
Yes absolutely! All the movies are there for you
to rent or buy
yeah, you know what’s really convincing? paying for a subscription and then paying again to rent the movie
Honestly it sounds great but how about if I also offered you unskippable ads in the middle of everything too? I won't even charge you for them, free ads!
Don't forget the commercials! I assume this is the basic tier with commercials. My wife has Prime for deliveries and I still pirate all their shows to watch without commercials.
*with ads
Only if you are subscribed to that channel as well
I taught my youngest how to pirate and he is showing his friend. They are happy to see whatever show they want without a subscription to multiple apps
Or ridiculous ads popping up
Are those... AI wojaks??
also I haven't seen an ad on reddit in months bc revanced manager works for many things lmao
Used ai to replicate a wojak meme… one of the easiest meme formats to use.. would have been easier and more cost efficient just to use the wojaks man.
You guys have ads on reddit?
Yeah yeah I know revanced
Connecting to Albania using a VPN also works for some reason
It's because of all the Albinos! They eat the ads for breakfast!
I tried revanced, but I couldn't mute subs I wasn't interested in so I rather swallow the ads then get notifications and posts pushed in my face from cringe subs.
Yeah, I've never seen one in the ways I use it. Would hate that shit. The first add I saw would throw me into an obsessive mission to remove those ads again however it could be done.
Holy fuck is that an ai wojak Unabomber? Uncle Ted must be spinning in his grave
Amazon was the last ott i had, mainly cause it was cheap and free shipping, now with the pay to remove ad bullshit i am gonna pirate it too. Back to the highseas.
When they added adverts to their programmes I stopped watching anything on it. Ill pay for fast delivery. But not adverts.
Corpo memes are so bad, should be illegal lmao
multi billion dollar company can't affort to pay for an actual artist for their visuals, lame
just pirate the shit of everything for £0
I'll never forgive scamazon for butchering the Lord of the Rings and Wheel of Time.
The AI thinks that most people argue that you should pay full price for things? What in the alternate reality
They fucked up this meme so badly
Today is prime day(week?), just standard marketing
The way they used that meme should be wooosh material
I got that deal, and then canceled my subscription immediately. I suggest you do the same, prime video is dogshit, but the free shipping saved me so much fucking money
Not the corporate style wojaks
Lmao why couldn't they just use the original, im so confused why they felt the need timo AI-ify it
the meme template exists already and they still used ai for this?
Man I'm almost more upset that they didn't use the meme right
I am going to assume that by "Pirating Amazon" you mean to just use the mystic arts to get your new keyboard
movies + tv + music
Somehow I forgot those existed
Also, boooring
music and tv are boring? hmm?
I proposed using magic to teleport microwaves across state lines, pirating music is kinda boring by comparison
Teach me the ways of the pirate :D
The wrong amazon is burning
It doesn't even make sense. Wtf is this
You should. The fact I had to learn on my own just to find out one of my best buddies knew how this whole time nearly gave me an aneurism. All of you who hoist your colors high should be teaching your friends how aswell.
Why be ye seein' them cursed advertisements when ye should be sailin' free on the digital seas?
The way corpobros make those corpo"memes"... Making them more friendly and neutral. Pure cringe.
Most of Amazon'scontent is 💩 anyways. I don't even wanna pirate it.
Is there a better system than Plex? I tried strem.io but the plugins just keep getting offline
Jellyfin or something like that
thanks!
I have prime but I got it to save on shipping costs and faster delivery
the only thing that interests me from prime is invincible and i already pirated that
Shitty ai ads
They couldn't even use a regular meme template you can easily find on the Internet instead of AI slop? Holy shit! 🤣
I imagine the lawyers would frown on using a meme template, because it's impossible to know who made it. There's a small risk that if Scamazon were to actually use the meme then the original creator might make themselves known out of sheer annoyance and claim copyright infringement. A small risk, but why take it needlessly?
The irony of using generative ai that rips from copyrighted material without royalties to the source material and creators
Well...it's not about prices anymore, it's about their (any streaming service) shitty services and quality and fuckload of ads... They think that adjusting their subscription plan will change anything.
just register for the 6 month prime with an empty payment service account or a debit card to an empty bank account. Grand Tour, is on Prime and its pretty good
I have prime (because of the deliveries). I still don't use Prime Video.
Why the fuck did they changed the faces in the meme?
💀
lemme correct this shit meme
middle guy: nooo! you have to use prime!!!111!1
dumbass & sage: just steal the stuff from stores bro
amazon's getting desperate. all of a sudden the offered me a student discount again. probably because I was thinking and clicking a couple of times a month but never completed the transaction.
Y’know, I’ve started talking to some good friends about piracy and how to be safer with it. They looked at me and literally went “that’s actually pretty genius… how do I do it?”
The "meme" wasnt even made by a human. That shi is ai
Again, I pirate Prime out of pure spite. Fuck you, Bezos.
So.... you angrily posted an advertisement... for a company....
Where I live only 2 devices can use Amazon prime even when you pay full price plus they show a small skipable ad at the start and you have to wait 30 days to remove a device
How do I get this ad?
why would you want to? you just scroll on reddit mobile until it comes up i guess
so i can get prime
idk how to get it back
How do you get prime free for 6 months?!
had prime for years and looking to cancel it, not worth it anymore
Can you teach me too, I am too dumb ? 😢
I would like to start any recommendations?
Teach me next king
This ad has 3k upvotes. The power of bits is frightening.
the actual ad doesn't have 3000 upvotes, it's just a screenshot
Oh thank god... sorry i'm tired af.
go to sleep, you need it
Teach me.
Quit reposting ads. Smh
So this whole sub is "I pirate because it's my whole personality" and "corpros bad, amirite?" Not very much actual piracy talk?
It's not my whole personality and I do think corpos are bad. This flair isn't for you i guess.
There's a lot of discussion going on in the discussion flair
I mean, wtf is considered piracy talk? People asking the same question thats already been answered 500 million times and in the megathread? If people can make sucking off Disney their entire personality then we can make piracy ours. At least we aren't chumps.
Amazon calling people that don't use their platform midwits is interesting for a megacorp to say the least
Nah it's the fact that the guy on left is repping amazon and they're implying that he has a 70 IQ lmaoo
Saying “half our consumer base is so dumb they shouldn’t be allowed to live alone” is certainly a bold marketing strategy
lmfaooo
u guys are upvoting an AI
