A real man would download the episodes, pack them into a season folder, create a torrent for it and reupload.
That's the thinking,, comrade!
This is true BUT and a BIG BUT when you have torrent sites like 1337 and others where you've to fill out a proper form like some government bureaucratic procedure and follow their useless rules, for you to just get banned after 1 week because the moderator has not taken their pills and is short tempered low life. Then you wonder well fuck it ain't got no time for that.
You seem to be speaking from experience
Painfully accurate
Planning on doing that with Murderbot when the full season is out
Boldness is all!
I tried that once with a show that had some very difficult to get episodes. I gave up trying to get it onto a tracker.
I was going to say this. Make the season torrent, seed it. Be the change you want to see!
I don’t know how to create. Just download. I need a how to.
This. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Most wouldn't let you upload it unless it all comes from the same group and the episodes are all the same resolution and dv/hdr standards.
This. OP likely only complains, but is never part of the solution.
This is why I don't complain btw.
God I know the feeling. it's horrible. :(
It's especially confusing/frustrating when the show's been out for years and the people uploading these torrents had uploaded a compilation of prior seasons.
Do you dread it, Diana?
I dread it. Run from it. But it finds me all the same.
That's a cool dishonored logo 👍
It's terrifying, really hate it
Ani-cli helps in anime for me
But that’s what sonarr is for!
I slept on Sonarr for years and years, and just recently set it up. It's so awesome! I regret holding myself back for so long. I wasted so much time manually downloading and renaming files when I could have just automated it...
Once you discover the *arr apps the possibilities are endless 😂 I’ve got radarr, sonarr, prowlarr, unpackerr, lidarr, and bazarr
I never bothered setting this up. Just understanding what all these different programs do and knowing which ones I need is harder to learn than simply installing Stremio.
I also avoided them for a long time because it sounded technical and tedious. But...
Sonarr (TV) and Radar (movies) both run natively on windows. Super easy to install. All the settings are in th UI, no tech experience needed. Th hardest part is translating your download criteria that exists in your head into the parameters.
Prowlarr is also native on windows for keeping your indexers up to date (and allows you to share them across Sonarr and radar). You really only need to play with this once.
Once you boil it down it’s pretty simple. Sonarr for tv radarr for movies. That’s all you actually need. Prowlarr is basically just jackett (you configure it with however many trackers you want so that sonarr/radarr can use it to find torrents, then you add a download client to sonarr/radarr like qbittorrent and it takes care of everything for you at that point. Find a show, click the search button, it’ll download every single episode that it can find and automatically transfer it to the plex library. It’ll even download new seasons when they come out on its own. Bazarr is simply a tool to download subs, it will automatically download either English subs or forced English subs (whichever I choose or both) unpackerr is an unzipping software just for torrents since some are .rar and lidarr is the same as sonarr and radarr but it’s for music :) it’s one of those things that can be as simple or as pain in the ass as you want the setup to be, but once the setup is done it’s way easier than doing it manually and doesn’t require setting up again. You can even get requesterr setup so you can send a message to discord or telegram bot to add shows to your library or just add it to something like a plex watchlist
Im enjoying watching the 2000 number in my sonarr queue go down overnight, hugely up again when I add stuff during lunch, and never quite finished.
If I hypothetically have 8tb of media, would it be worth uninstalling it all to let Sonarr find better rips?
I will say personally that I had somewhere in the ballpark of 5-6 TB of media that I replaced entirely. However, I didn't really have much sentimentality for the preexisting files, so I backed up my preexisting media into a compressed backup on an external drive just in case before I started, and I have yet to need to access the backup at all. I'll probably delete it soon because it's still taking up terabytes on my external drive. I only ended up replacing the media I was actually interested in having, and took the opportunity to purge media I didn't care about. Now, 8TB could mean you have anywhere between 200 - 8000 movies. The more things you have that will need downloading, the more time consuming it will be to add them all to Sonarr and Radarr. I do believe that you can import your pre-existing media so that it can find better rips, but you will still have to choose quality and metadata settings for each show/movie, as well as make sure that the movies and episodes are matched properly to the database for renaming and search. This would however allow you to still keep the downloaded media you already have. Personally, I just added them all from scratch because I was okay with it downloading fresh files, I have fast internet and SSD. There might be a faster, batch way to import all your files, but I don't have knowledge on that subject.
Overall I think it's worth it, but only if you're somewhat computer savvy and good at reading documentation/guides. It's certainly worth it for the fancy automation and time savings versus manual. I recommend https://trash-guides.info/ , that website has everything you would need to know, or links to additional resources, and tells you how to set it all up.
Thank you
Whats that?
Be the change you wish to see
Man i wish there were torrents for all episodes 😭
I would very happily torrent 300+ different files if I could find them
Have you looked into Sonarr?
Not yet, what is it?
You can still do that though, find a full torrent and only select the files you want
find a full torrent
That's the neat part...
Ah I didn't read. I am the dumb
Dw, happens to the best of us.
everyone wants a hero but no one wants to be the hero
i wish u could download from stremio
You can
Complete-season-480p
Sonarr/prowlarr. It will do it for you if you set it up right
Stremio
This was the single biggest piracy revelation for me.
I stain my pants when there's a single torrent for the whole show
I mostly use qbittorrent search plugins, very easy to search and download torrents from multiple sites with minimum effort.
most private sites do both so try joining some
Almost all the private sites I’m a member of all remove individual episode torrents once the season is complete and add a season pack. TL doesn’t do this, but I’d guess that’s because they don’t really moderate uploads at all
look for box sets , TL does have its own rippers making box sets
I know how to get season packs on TL lol. I only mentioned TL because they do not remove single episode torrents when season packs (boxsets) become available
yes because the rippers make box sets already so no need to repackage tv rips already posted. Unless someone wants too
Would be helpful if you also give some names
Or there's a torrent for the whole season, but you have to download the subtitles episode by episode, each subtitle download has sub files for all the different releases possible, and none match the name of the episodes.
Do you even sonarr
Me when there's torrents for every single episode except the last one, and there IS a season torrent.
Usenet for tv and film. Torrent for loose stuff
why they do this shit lol
I faced this exact same thing just a week back trying to download "You're the worst". Seems like post Rarbg there are hardly any public encoders for TV shows that will upload season/show packs
Sometimes ya just gotta. 🤷🏻♂️
this is where the -arrs come in handy. they will automatically download each one and even can tag them for you so they are organized in your torrent client into one folder.
Dude. This would be the ONE AI I wouldn't roll my eyes at.
especially when certain ones appear right away but others are forever if they ever show up.
It was quite fun torrenting each episode of Severance Season 2 as they were being released each week!
Not quite what I'm talking about. Torrenting an ongoing season doesn't bother me, it's when the season ended weeks, months, or even years ago, but there is no torrent for the complete season.
get sonarr to make it a bit less annoying
Torrentday do TV packs for whole seasons.
Recently had to download 22 individual torrents (2 remaining) for an anime season. Would've loved batch but I guess it's not available because of those 2 episodes.
warhammer+ stuff is brutal ngl
think of it as "parallel downloading"
Be the change you want to see in the world mate, DL the episodes individually and upload them as a season.
Super agree! It's totally frustrating!
Usenet is fantastic
G.E.T. A.N. A.R.R. S.T.A.C.K.!!!!!!
Laughs in Rarbg
That's why I liked Tgx's TV Packs Feature. Mfs nuked and the new copy of tgx does not provide that just a half assed knockoff. Does anybody know a similar feature on other sites? I use subsplease for Anime but don't know any alternate for TV Packs.
God bless the people who upload the whole series + bonus in a big torrent
I mean, you don't want to run 48 individual torrents...
Person A ripped the series each week. Person A posted on private tracker. Person B posted on public tracker. Person C bundles all files, creates a .torrent and share with plebs. Why can't you be person C?
Be the change you wanna see!
personally, i always prefer the individual episodes than the whole season
Just use sonarr
Usenet moment
Why not find a site to stream?
We get frequent power outages here, so I like to have shows saved to watch when that happens
Do you know about OPML? It's a type of file where you gather several RSS feeds into one file, and can subscribe to all of them trough just importing that one file into their feed reader or podcatcher. Like a "meta feed", if you will.
We should have a filetype like that for torrents, where anyone could make a "meta torrent" that they gather several torrents into, and people could download all the torrents in that file just by adding that one file into the torrent client.
Especially when all eps are from the same release team. Just make a bundle too! Sheeeeeeesh
Yes, it is pretty stupid for all these single episodes uploader to not upload the whole season especially at the last episode mark. I mean you know it's the last episode so just club all your episodes into 1 full season and delete individual episode torrents if it is too much torrents in your client. But no, they'll continue to upload only single torrent forever
And half those episodes have no seeds and will be stuck at "stalled" or "downloading metadata" forever. Why can't a whole season be uploaded at the end which has a less of a chance of dying vs episode by episode.
Each TV show I download from eztv, I seed indefinitely because I know after about two weeks the seeders will go to zero. Many national geographic, history, Syfy, travel channel, HGTV, animal planet, discovery channel shows or anything paranormal ESPECIALLY dies quickly. Maybe a whole Hulu or Amzn web dl season can be found on a more niche torrent site but it'll be dead too!
Oh and I forgot, there's also the thing where the bot/uploader didn't upload one or two episodes of the season for whatever reason. I've not figured that one out.
Then you have those couple of episodes being 720p while the rest and picture perfect 😢
Yeah what the hell is the deal with that. MeGusta TV does that they'll have 1080P H265's for them and then handful will just be skipped with only 480p (really...?) and a very low quality 720p available.
I had a torrent like this once, some episodes were impossible to download and we were a bunch of leeches, so I kept seeding what I already had, Then I went and found the same torrent on a DDL website and downloaded the rest and then seeded it back to the other people.
You dropped this 👑
Thank you. I have ordered 8x14TB exos drives and a QNAP 8 bay DAS so I will be stepping my seeding game up even higher soon.
Hell yeah brother. I'm running a 74TB QNAP myself.
