2K in their Highest Priced Version of NBA 2K26 swapped the League Pass (One time buy to watch all League games for a year) with the "Summer Pass" ( You get the Season Pass for the last 3 Seasons, you know, where the game is basically dead and no one wants to play anymore) and kept the same Price.
Now for the last couple of years, I always bought the highest priced version, because I liked the Price/Value you got with that. The League Pass alone would be 263,88€ for the entire year. And since I like the game I thought "meh" and bought it.
Now that they apparently thought they lost too much money on that deal, they thankfully brought me back to reality. Now I'll pirate the Game and stream the Games I want to watch.
How much more Anti-Consumer shit we have to avoid until they finally get it???
Pirate the nba games too. NBA 2K has lost the plot for about a decade now
"How much more Anti-Consumer shit we have to avoid until they finally get it??"
It's simple, people buy, year after year. The game is "thrash", but in the end they look at the sales and well, there you go.
OP proved ot with the post. "I paid for the most expensive version" and then complaining about being charged more for the next one
That's what monopoly looks like, if you are an nba fan you buy it or don't have it, the pirated version is most of the times 50% of the full game
You can't pirate these games anymore I'm afraid, denuvo.
2K is a horrible company to buy games from. WWE 2K25 gets the same treatment with their crappy micro-transactions, not to mention, they claim "The Island" is not on PC because PC is "last gen only" even though most PC's can blow a PS5 out of the stratosphere.
anyone buying 2k has no self respect imo. they release the same buggy, cheedy, unpolished game every year, no innovation, no user experience improvement.
they put sweaty dudes on 2kNext - 2kCurrent screenshot comparison so it looks like graphics got a hughe overhaul even tho it didnt.
and not to mention you have to grind mycareer for like 200 hours to get enough in game currency for the game to actually start being fun (around 85 ovr) or of course you can just buy the VC and rationalise it like "i can grind for 200 hours or look i can spend 100$ extra and i can play with a good character right away! its a good investment!" even tho you just paid ~200$ for a shit game that is same every year just so you can have fun.
just pirate the previous year 2k and get the hook for attributes and have fun.
I'm on PC - 2k25 got next-gen but it wasn't cross play. if you know anything about the PC version, cheaters are everywhere, and without cross play (and the significantly smaller player base compared to console), the chance of running into cheaters is just way too high
I didn't see any point of grinding my ass off in my career just to not have fun in the multiplayer modes
change 2k for any game that its "updated" and sold like brand new shit every year
Makes sense why the most braindead people I know drool over the new 2K game every year lmao.
All I play basketball wise is NBA Jam on my RGHd Xbox 360.
