It's actually pronounced demon. Daemon is just an archaic spelling of the same word.
It actually says the correct way to say it right there though:

I've also heard "dae-monic" being said far more often than "de-monic" too.
Well firstly that's showing you the syllables, not the pronounciation. It also states it's a variant spelling, not a variant sound. The cadence of the word is "dae·mon" and it's pronounced "dee-mun."
