It’s because management wants someone to talk to who doesn’t speak like an engineer
It amazes me that there are so many product managers with software background who don't understand software.
This one baffles me too
Well--well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?
-"Did you tell the client the feature he wants is impossible like we asked you to ?"
-"Yeah about that, not only i promised him that we would be doing that feature, i said we would be done by next week"
