What is ctrl s?
:w :w :w! :qa
cat <file>
Nah that's not enough, firstly you need to force them all, then you need ten times as many writes
And be sure to hit the S a little bit harder, to make sure it works.
I've broken actual keys doing this.
Remember, Jesus saves.
Thanks God we now have visual markers. Saving used to be too stressful.
Da
Ctrl + shift + S 3 times
Not one last, One more
Ctrl S
Then final_version_testdoc.docx
Then final_version_testdoc2.docx
Then final_version_testdoc2_bak.docx
It should be .docx.bak
:w
I'll be honest.
Copy on selection and shift+insert has changed my life.
+1
Me: CTRL + S Just to be sure
Do It Again

When you don't remember how many ctrl+z you had to do💀.
When I was a kid in my teens I once lost 4 hours of work because my IDE crashed. Since then I've developed a psychosomatic disorder where my fingers will start itching if I don't press Ctrl-S after every written line of text I write. No matter if it's a code or not.
me pressing ctrl+s 100 times everytime just to make sure it's saved
Are there still people who don’t use IDEs with autosave?
You mean :w ?
There’s a clear indicator of unsaved changes. It’s not that complicated.
CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C, CTRL+C
CTRL+V
Same.
Yeah, but for some reason sometimes a single Ctrl C doesn't work and I have no idea why.
This, like 99% it works fine, but the 1% has caused me to spam it at least 3 times.
If I miss 3 99'ers, it's fine, I'll ctrl tab back when the paste goes wrong.
I know people like to shit on windows but holy shit this is a valid complaint. I have clipboard history on and notepad++ history and you'd be shocked what doesn't get saved
CTRL A, CTRL C, CTRL V.
Wait, nothing has changed
Forgot to mention into chatgpt 😂
