Digg is trying to make a comeback apparently. I signed up for access earlier today. Timing might be on their side with that.
What is Digg?
I remember it being a big thing but I never used it myself. I believe it was a site/platform similar to reddit, but predates reddit. Like a news aggregator with comments type deal. Apparently they are trying to bring it back. I signed up for early access out of curiosity.
It is where we left to join Reddit back when Digg made some stupid mistakes. They started blocking comments and posts that included a specific sequence of numbers. Then they changed the layout and everyone else left.

FUCK SPEZ. This is a second round of purging reddit mods. Too many good mods (the kind who believe in actual free speech) stayed around after the last purge with the third party app bullshit. This is an attempt to remove any mods who refuse to be total unpaid lapdogs. Users will be punished and banned but they seem to be going after mods (see r popculture)

I was recently banned from a subreddit for agreeing to the sentiment of another commenter stating they felt a photo post contained a dog whistle. The completely normal and stable "mod" made mention that I needed to take my Reddit echo chamber thoughts and "get out of their hobby and subreddit", all while telling me they hope this "throws my life into a spiral." I've seen a lot of shit in my 14 years of Reddit, but that was a first for me. Reddit admins won't do anything about it. Oh well, guess I don't need your sub's content!

There's actually a comment by a reddit admin on the original post where they state that the language is intentionally vague so that they can change the rules/definition whenever they want. They claim this is so that users can't "game" the system, while ignoring that this makes the entire system a game of the Admins whims. I shit you not, the disconnect is unbelievable.

I wish there was an alternative, with the amount of content or user base, that I could go to.
But when you report something BLATANT, you get responded with it not violating Reddit’s policy… somehow…. It makes no fucking sense.

The quicker you report the sooner we as mods can remove these comments. These comments remaining up on the subreddit will effectively serve as honeypots for admin warnings for voting. We as mods do not want to see you get sanctioned for the way you vote. Please help us help you not get lured into warnings.
