This is a local homeless guy that's a little feral. For some reason people love to take videos of him for click instead of trying to get him some help. I've seen this guy a lot on social media, always acting just like this.
I watched this man walk up and assualt 2 people and then take off running, within 15 seconds of each other, after running in and stealing someone's meal that they had just purchased. And he proceeds to steal yet again, just to throw it and waste it immediately after. I can see why people aren't rushing to help him. Im not saying it's right to film someone like this, but if everyone knows him because of shit like this, it's no wonder nobody wants to do anything to help.
It reminds me of the homeless guy around where I used to live that pissed literally on the doors of businesses all the time, at any time of day. Other unhoused people got a lot more sympathy than he did.
I get you could say that mental illness and/or addiction are to blame but it's a lot harder for people to feel sympathy when you have to walk through puddle of their urine. This was before camera phones were super common though so no one was getting views from it at least, not that it helps the guy get any better.
Yeah, I wouldn't wish any of that on anyone, but people have to be realistic. And someone saying "I can't believe nobody is helping him instead of filming" isn't realistic when he's pretty much going on a rampage lol I totally understand the mental health aspect as well, but that makes the situation even more dangerous when he's already assaulting people. Its not like he's having a seizure on the sidewalk, or simply just sitting there. You're not going to help anyone by making a situation worse and getting yourself hurt.
But I hope that dude you mentioned, and in the video can get the help they need, without being a menace in the process.

Nah. Prisons in Philippines are NOT like the west.
Sentencing / due process is painfully slow (even for smaller crimes), living conditions are FAR worse than most countries (overcrowded with sweltering heat, cramped spaces, & unsanitary living conditions), and the hierarchical prison system is complex and partly unregulated.

I mean I’m literally homeless, have been sleeping on the streets for a year, was abandoned by my family, suffer severe mental illness (I guess severe really is on a spectrum, I’m mostly lucid and in control, but have diagnosed CPTSD, Major Chronic Depression, Acute Free-Floating Anxiety, and suffer panic attacks) and have type 1 diabetes.
I guess the main difference is I’m now in danger of losing my insurance and therefore my insulin and antidepressants and might also get deported to El Salvador because being homeless is illegal and the US Admin is now working on denaturalizing citizens to deport.
So yeah, idk, seems pretty similar tbh. Main difference being I just keep to myself and find solitary isolated places to feel some semblance of comfort and safety and don’t run around breaking shit and terrorizing people.
