Simpling for billionaires is why we don't have working class solidarity.

When people look back at this time period they'll be shocked by how willing poor people were to just give everything over to the billionaires

Polar-Bear_Soup

It'll be easily explainable when you factor in racism and "well one day I'll work hard enough to be a billionaire" mentality.

After we eat all the billionaires it'll seem crazy that we ever let them buy out media conglomerates and social media sites too. It's wild that we let them do this. You'd think the conspiracy nuts would be all over it (lol).

This, exactly this. I have a 45 year old friend who doesn't even have 2 grand in the bank, but fully believes he will be a millionaire any day now so stop taking his money for handouts to immigrants.

It's honestly a story as old as time. Look back at history now and you will find instances of the poor/lower class worshipping those in positions of power/wealth. Kings, Emperors, Dictators, Oligarchs, even religious leaders have all been supported and even worshiped by the poor/middle class since forever. They see the wealth and think if they lick their boots enough, they too will also get wealthy.

Assuming there are enough people left with enough knowledge to look back at anything.

Amy Lynn and all of those like her don't understand that the billionaires have had their hands in our pockets for decades

Ooh_its_a_lady

I think they do but they'd rather see people who dont look, act, or think like them not be taken care of at the cost of their own well-being. They say it often enough.

But of other stuff like those same billionaires who's companies are fucking up their hometown and the food they eat and health insurance to slowly weed them out.

No they dont understand that stuff. Cause the News will report on it and they just accept it.

At my core, I believe the wealthy class is by far the largest contributor to the suffering of the entire human race. And although I've been very well known to launch into similar tirades, I have learned that opinions without organized action will not ever change a thing. Yes, I agree that the first step towards revolution is for the majority to get mad as hell! But look around you, we're very much already there. Now is the moment in history where we all must organize ourselves and direct that anger towards the real source of our oppression. We need to fight them in the courtroom and the boardroom as well as in the streets. Each branch of the rebellion needs to pool their knowledge and resources to work steadily and accurately towards the dismantling of the system and it's lack of transparency, equality and personal responsibility

A tale as old as time itself.

Stop, it would be better if you said "send me info on organized meetings and such."

So.. send me info on organized gatherings if you got it, ill make time.

OrganizationTime5208

Ahh yes, let me just drop my job that provides my shelter, food, healthcare, and income, to join the rebellion.

I'm sure i'll be a great contributor, dying, starving, and getting my preventable diseases all over.

Glad you've got the privilege tho. Put that silver spoon to use and quit bitching that the poor are too poor to do anything.

Thats the attitude! We'll never make it far if we're always making excuses!

They think they're one good day from being a millionaire when in reality they're one bad day from being on the street because of the lack of a social safety net.

Something that doesn’t get mentioned enough in these discussions is that the entire capitalist system is BASED on the idea that we don’t get to keep all the wealth we have generated. Wealth redistribution is a LINCH PIN of Capitalism.

If I am a cook in a kitchen, I make food that sells for X. But I don’t get to keep X. I only get to keep a small fraction of X because the restaurant owner takes most of the wealth that I generated with my work and keeps it. This is simply how the system works.

In a big company there are multiple levels of dipping into the value of labour. Yes at each level people contribute their own labour but essentially, almost everyone except the stock holders have to pass a substantial amount of the wealth they generate with their labour UP above them.

Taxes are supposed to be a mechanism for some of that benefit to circulate back down. They are not way for people at the bottom to steal from those at the top. They are a way for people at the bottom to get BACK some of what they handed up above them.

And you'd think with any assets accumulated, they'd be well off with multi-millions even after having been taxed.

Greed in this magnitude should be considered murder. Of millions from the past to the near future...

The US citizen has the belief that individuality is superior to working as a collective. That is why nothing changes. It's a cultural issue

Sir_Keee

Also that competition is superior to cooperation. You and me fighting will lead to better outcomes than working together to solve our problems together. America had been brainwashed and broken.

I never understood what the point of this whole society thing is if we still have to scrape and claw and compete for everything. What's the point of having a structured government that taxes its' citizens if the money doesn't go at least partially toward taking care of the citizens?

Right or left we should know that the position isn't in office but those with the fattest sack.

Enough is enough right?

stygianare

you'd think that but everyone supporting billionaires have the sick mentality that if they suck up hard enough to them, then they would be noticed and rewarded, not knowing that billionaires don't give 2 fucks about them.

Someone should legit infiltrate them and record them say that they just want everyone's money, maybe then people will admit they're wrong and start doing something about it.

frenchanfry

Thank you! But the facts are clear and available, just ask a.i. if you feel like making it easy.

Its better yet! To go to rallies, meetings, send emails make calls!

We should do this together and I feel like you agree! If you lose your job ill quit!

It’s called fascism, they are so childishly scared of losing their privileges that they project their deep fears to the others, blaming them of being weak and stuff like that.

In a certain way I pity them, because from an evolutionary pedagogical pov they’re certainly the weak ones, since they stick to structural violence out of their irrational fear of being outcasted from their social status, which is the only think that prevent them from facing themselves. That is something they deeply fear and cannot sustain since they have no developed sense of self in the first place.

Many right wing people are secretly vicious and lonely children scared of the dark.

ordinarydepressedguy

That Amy Lynn mentality is violent and self-destructive, it’s a pity that people don’t understand it and keep harming themselves

this is literally the whole reason why the concept of "whiteness" exists and was written into law...and it will continue for as long as we hold onto that concept. wake up "white" people, time is running out. pretty soon the elites will not need you to protect them anymore like they did before and at that point its game over for everyone.

TrooperTheClone

I am 33. Never voted (I know, I know). You can attack me all you want for that. But at a young age, I caught on to the BS. This existence we live is sadly built upon the have and the have not. Once someone sees a toy the "haves" have, they want it, which enables greed to step in. Greed forces abundance to diminish, and we have situations like we do today where the "haves" (who dont have the amount of those who they admire) no longer care for the "have nots". Like you see this woman here talking about...
