HR gonna be a shitshow though
So will the bathrooms
"I'll take a whole dozen" 😂
I was expecting a link to asiasf in San Francisco. But even they couldn't make it after covid.
AsiaSF was a wholesome family restaurant. I went a long time ago with my gf at the time… and there was a whole family of 4 decked out in packers gear… in town for the game I guess. They were having a blast. They even went downstairs to the bar/club area. But man they stuck out like a sore thumb. Bunch of birthdays and bachelorette parties and girls taking shots from between boobs… and this family from the Midwest just laughing and having a great time the entire time lol
Americans have maternity leave?
Some do, some don't.
Depends on the company for sure. Mine offers it
I'm guessing it also depends on which state you live in?
Yes, but almost everyone (there are exemptions for small employers) gets 12 weeks FMLA which is unpaid, but protected.
I live in California where there’s partial pay for all parents (including adoption) and also disability pay for pregnancy and delivery. My wife was off for about six months between the two. Her job also had supplemental disability insurance, so she was full pay for half and half pay for half. Then I took my twelve weeks and ended up about half pay.
Yep, the United States is fucking huge, hard to apply one standard to all of it (although it would be true for a lot of things). Each state can have its own processes for Employer responsibilities they are forced to uphold, others it depends entirely on the decency of the people running that company.
"In Arkansas, there is no state-wide mandate requiring private sector employers to offer paid or unpaid maternity leave. However, the state does offer 12 weeks of paid leave to eligible state employees after the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child."
The part of Arkansas rings true, and im surprised to see such a progressive policy in such a backwoods state. In Georgia, you only get 12 weeks of EXCUSED leave, which i think is part of a federally backed program? Basically they just allow you to not work for 2 months, and you still have your job when you get back. Even though in almost every case ive seen, the mother typically quits by the 6 month mark or gets fired for lower performance. FMLA is all you get in Georgia, unless your employer offers it of their own heart. There isnt paternity leave in FMLA unless its for medical reasons, and very few employers offer it.
Having moved to Colorado in the last year, not only does a new mother get 12 months paid leave, but last year they passed a new act where FATHERS get paid paternity leave for up to 12 months as well. And they dont have to be used at the same time. Which is more in line with european standards. FAMLI is the name of the act.
My company has paternity leave :) 6 weeks (women also get 6 weeks)
Surprise: You hire the opposite. Womens strength, Men's wages and all of them maternity leave.
This aint about equality at all theres literally no diversity in hiring. Its all efficiency
Quite the hack if theres gender quotas in your area.
Amazing. I'm inspired
You will also get good PR as giving jobs to the LGBQT+
Good PR but ruinous financial results if the film and TV industries of the last few years are anything to go by.
LGBQT+.
FTFY, OP said trans not the whole spectrum.
I'm sorry but they will complain to HR if we don't
Bro just got done watching Squid Games season 3.
Sassy behaviour all day
You won’t be getting man strength
These guys don't care about the actual facts, they just want a shitty joke with an abysmal setup.

Buddy what
What the fuck compelled you to write that shit
Edit since this post is locked and that pussy deleted it:
"Secret functionality, they commit self-murder after 40 😂"
Mf can't even spell suicide correctly
If you're going to make a stupid suicide joke, the least you can do is use the actual word "suicide"
Enough with the garbage tiktok speech
Imagine self censoring
Do they just pocket that pension?
When someone doesn't know how hormones affect the body:
They would of already of done their work during puberty
that's why they start before puberty.Â
I recently saw a graffiti: "Protect trans kids rights!!!"
But what if they don't?
Right to not be operated on by extremist freaks pushing their beliefs on innocent children.
I had a feeling this sub wasn't exactly trans-supportive
You think?
Indeed, there was a time when I didn't understand what "dogwhistle" meant, or rather - even if I knew the definition, I didn't understand the practical use of the term.
I've learned so much since then. Every single time it feels like that one spy movie screenshot with the three fingers.
Patern recognition is truly man's greatest superpower.
exactly... those were the humans that also couldn't work because two of their close friends committed suicide a day before
I'm assuming you refer to the "men's strength" part with this and that a trans woman due to HRT doesn't have the strength she used to have before. And the downvotes show how few people know this...
For those who don't understand and dowmvote: trans girls struggle to open pickle jars after hrt. Even if they wouldn't have before. Honestly there probably is a short comic out there involving this as a joke and if there isn't then someone needs to make it.
Before hrt: opening jars is easy
After hrt: babe can you open the pickle jar for me? It won't open!!
People joke, but this is arguably why things have been going the way they have.
Example - no women in the work place to some women at partial wages to women dominating certain fields but never CEO or higher positions. why? simple, women are easier to manipulate and bully. They are less likely to speak up when pushed too hard and will just roll with the punches, unless emboldened. And they wont typically be emboldened by other women, as women are women's strongest enemies at a face to face level.
Example 2 - hate gays, gays being slowly accepted, gays being preferred in certain positions. Why? Aside from the obvious AHA moment if a company gets called out for anti-lgbtq (despite a lot of gays being anti everyone else), harassment suits involving men typically fizzle. More over, if a woman calls out a sexual harassment suit on a gay man, it can easily be thrown out due to him having no sexual interest in a woman. Despite the fact that sexual harassment can go past actual implied sex, word play cases dont typically hold water.
Example 3 - hate [minority group here], pay minority group super low, recast entire company DEI except bosses. Why? To win over both the minority groups (even though most minorities hate eachother), and the liberals who believe in 'equality' but actually believe in 'equity', as long as they are still the highest ones in the group. Plus if the minority group ever acts up in any way, police will happily get involved and solve the problem for you.
The trans community is gonna get played just like every other group. And this is a 'hahaha funny moment' example of why it'll be used. Trans women cant get pregnant, dont have periods, still like some 'men' things, are less likely to call out harassment and even if they do they are 'technically a dude' so the case will be dropped, and honestly, they can be really nice eye candy depending on how much work they have done. The last part was more for me, but im sure plenty of CEOs with plastic girlfriends have realized plastic dudes that look like women are just as good. Maybe even better? Especially if they didnt have to pay for it like with their wives/gfs. Or maybe they'll build their dream GF from a guy.
News flash. Dudes can be harassed also by men or women and it doesn't matter what the assailant's declared "interests" are
News flash, most sexual harassment cases involving men being harassed never get pursued OR are generally made a mockery of and never have any follow through. And we've all seen and heard stories of human resources turning a blind eye to not only men, but when a sexual declaration is declared that doesn't align with with the parties involved. As long as the company has an out to not be sued and lose.
Fuck, ive seen a gay dude get sexual harassed by a woman who just couldnt accept she couldnt have him, and he eventually had to quit becuase human resources said 'nothings going to happen unless you let it happen, right?' The bitch was basically, and in one instance i saw LITERALLY, throwing herself on his dick and HR just thought she was being quirky? We all gave statements when asked. He quit once he realized that every day this was his life. And id argue she probably got more forward when she found out she was reported and nothing was gonna happen.
People misbehave so why bother having rules and procedures? I get it.
People misbehave but fuck men, is the actual TLDR. Because men are supposed to be men and just take it on the chin. We call that toxic masculinity. And its applied by others not excluding other men, onto men.
The businesses only care about 2 things, and rules aint one of them. They care about making money, and not losing money in lawsuits that can be lost. HR exists to protect the business, not the individual. And they have good lawyers to tell them what cases can be easily won vs others.

Says trans women, so I’m assuming they’re being respectful and saying men who turned to women and now represent themselves publicly as a woman.
Hold my hands up, I jumped the gun and got defensive. Fair enough. 💀
In fact, I'm even downvoting myself.
*make an imaginary scenario.
*Blame capitalism.
*Don't get called out for shitty conspiracy theories because you are neither capitalist (who gets blamed for every conspiracy theory there is), nor do you know what it means.
