And you call this an oral history, despite the fact that it's obviously written
You're an odd fellow but you oral a good history.
Was Actually interested in reading, but that website magazine is garbage, automatic redirects to other websites, pop up ads constantly moving the page all over the place.
Look into using a reader mode on your browser or plugin. I use Relay for Reddit on my mobile and when a site is like this you can convert it to plain text with inline images and it makes it much more readable. They also work on a lot of paywall articles.
Skinner with his crazy explanations...
The crazy explanation is the gym owner explaining what an isometric exercise is.
Superintendent’s gonna need his medication…
Is there an actually readable version of this somewhere? This page does not want me to read it.
Thank you
The funniest scene is extremely subjective, but objectively it's the streetsweeper scene in Bart Sells His Soul
Good call
Which one is oral?
really interesting to read that Bill Oakley basically wrote it in an afternoon and wasn’t even sure it was that funny
I think in terms of length it's the most consistent laughs for the longest period of time.
I mean, it is a good scene, but funniest scene ever? There are plenty of funnier scenes.
Seems the consensus is that this scene is a bit overrated. Personally I couldn’t disagree more. I think it’s one of the great pieces of short-form TV comedy and deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Dead Parrot and More Cowbell.
This is the first time I've ever seen More Cowbell mentioned in the same breath as the Dead Parrot sketch so I have no idea how broad the range you're talking about here is.
Which one is “oral”?
Who else here watched the Steamed Hams clip in the article before reading the rest?
The funniest scene ever? I don’t see anything from You only move twice here.
I understand why you’d accidentally call the episode where the Simpsons move to Cape Feare and back You Only Move Twice, but actually you’re getting the names mixed up. This episode was I think called the Boat that Couldn’t Slow Down.
I think he's talking to you.
It's a funny scene, but it's far from the funniest in the show. It's arguably not even the funniest scene in that episode.
It's not even the funniest Skinner/Chalmers scene
Or dare I say... Lemon of Troy?
Wait a minute... There's a lemon behind that rock!
I agree. It's a funny scene, but it's highly overrated for some reason imo. There's definitely scenes from You only move twice, Cape Feare, Homer vs the 18th Amendment, Homers Phobia, etc that I'd put against it.
King Size Homer.
