The callbacks to that are great too. First, we see Marge behind Bart and Milhouse in the house Mopping up the mess, and later we see Marge at the sink cleaning broken and burnt dishes.

I remember when my family vacationed in San Diego, I wished I could have done like the episode and made friends with kids there. Sadly, that was never the case. I ended up just feeling like that weird kid from Iowa who just wanted to be where the fun was.
