Finally got an actual toolbox instead of having my tools in 6 bags around my apartment
Picked up this old craftsman box for $190 on marketplace today.
Instead of tools laying around my entire apartment, I now have a tool box with some patina.
Guess what kind of shit boxes I work on based on the tools.

Congrats OP! Don't worry. The tool bags will still show back up. Ive three boxes. And I STILL carry 3 bags for random things.
I already repurposed one for holding my DA polisher and pads hahaha.
Out of the bucket and into the bag, as they say.

Dang, how many drawers does that thing have? It was like a clown car! Drawers just kept opening!! Seriously though, awesome box, I'm envious of the amount of drawers you have for storage. My craftsman only has 5, and even with just the basics, I can't get the level of separation and organization the way I want.
It has 9!
I bought this one specifically because it had way more drawers at this form factor than what I could find new (at a reasonable price).
Crazy!! The variety of cman bottom chest and mid/top chests they had in the past was pretty wild. I think you did great picking up that box!

Had identical box for 24 years. Bought a Homak chest for the top. Perfect fit 1/2 the price of craftsman and twice as heavy...probably don't make them any more. Still have the top. It will last you.

I hear ya. I'm retired so mine is a paperweight in the garage. I upgraded it, so hopefully someone takes care of it and puts it to work.

Nice toolbox :) Drawers 2,4 & 6 - screwdrivers and other stuff. Drawers 1,3,5,7 - other stuff only.
I moved things around a couple of times but this makes the most sense to my brain. Passed with flying colors when I decided to see how intuitive it was after a few beers, I could find stuff!
I have the same box, still looks like new after 18 years.
