This is a massive 50 mm bad boy my lab recently acquired.
If you can hold it with one hand it's not a large wrench 😂
That's what she said
We have a 2 15/16" (74.6mm) wrench for one of our gear cutters.
Would love to see that bad boy
You mention lab. Are those for fasteners on like a big autoclave or some other pressure vessel?
That is correct! we actually use It to open the autoclave after any process/synthesis. We usually fasten them with bare hands, but boy is It hard to open after pressurizing
Discovering this sub via this current trend has been wonderful
We need a banana for scale!
Dayum, what do you use It for? Looks like a mechanic shop thing
I'm a oulfield service rig mechanic. I only use that one every 5 years.
Sold them regularly to plant equipment repairers , I once sold a 105mm , open end 12 pt ring combination spanner to a crane operator , wasn’t cheap , He immediately cut off the 12 pt ring and to weld into a custom socket lol
That's ridiculously large sir, do you have any pics of said beast? Also, lol
This sculpture is located in Enköping, Sweden, and it's a monument to the adjustable wrench, which was popularized and improved by Johan Petter Johansson, founder of Bahco.
Is this real?
Comically funny until you have to remove the nut that goes with it !
Used a 2-3/8 wrench at work today, I was smacking it with a 5 pound hammer to crack the nuts free
That's why we need comically large biceps!
Who are you? Popey?
