It's 'first day on a new job' for anyone interested.
I never worked trades like that myself, but from what I've heard, that would be a great first day for a trainee.
Windows installed correctly, nobody got hurt, door works. Amazing!
What wasn't shown is that the stairs outside the door were not installed, and he immediately fell into a rubble chute.
”rubble chute”
But they like Rubles, right?
A Ruble Chute is a slide into a pool full of money, a rubble chute is something else entirely
Rubble Chute would refer to the asspussy of Barney Rubble the popular Flintstones co-star.
what the f*ck did i just read
i mean hes gotta have something going on, have you seen how hot his wife is?
Yes, I hear window accidents are quite common there for some reason…
Window wasn't screwed in.
But what is the guy's name? I belive it was something "dragons" and acted with a woman too in some of his skirts
Azure_dragons
Yes. It's azure dragons. They haven't posted anything in years. Not sure if this is from that account or if he's started a new account.
went down a rabbit hole because I was wondering the same! Found out that the guy (Илья Аксёнов) has only been posting on his personal account for a while now, thats also where this clip here came from: https://www.instagram.com/ilya_aks/reels/
This is the laptop fixing guy right
Also reminds me of every attempt at coding I've ever made.
hahahahaha
Me plugging in cables and USBs.
I get it right the 3rd time every time.
It’s always because the correct way has more resistance than expected so it’s instinctual to make sure it doesn’t go in easier the other way. So with that in mind, I now push through the resistance and collapse the USB port into its device, first try.
Same
Attempt 1: I'm 100% sure it goes this way. C'mon..go in. Nope ..I'm not gonna flip it, I'm sure it goes this way.
Attempt 2: or....maybe the other way? Let's try. Nope...damnit not even close
Attempt 3: Slips right in. MFer!!!

For a desktop or laptop at least:
Look at the USB connector, the side that has the seam in it is the "bottom."
Plug in the USB connector into the USB port with the "bottom" facing toward the direction of the motherboard (with a laptop that's usually down, and with a desktop it's always the side with all the connectors). This only works with the USB ports actually built directly into the motherboard though, so it doesn't work for the USB ports on the front of the a desktop.
USB-A/B usually have a trident on the large end. It is usually on the top side of the connector.

I liked him fixing his pants 3 times lol
Mat and pat moment
Pat a Mat? Isn’t that the order? Hehe
I dont know, they are called buurman & buurman in my native language (dutch)
I see. I was just curious in what language the order got swapped.
Cool, had no idea they are called like that in the Netherlands. Just got back home from there on Sunday. Great place!
That door was the highlight for me, I loved that door.
I liked the bit where he opened imaginary handles as he “imagined it done correctly”, then finally put the window in correctly.
I do CAD modeling. Sometimes for mechanisms you have to use real objects to get mind in the right place.
Yep. I found it amusing because to me it sort of “sold the video” as realistic haha
I learned from an older client who used to manage a lot of work to “explain to self” — like what you describe, and other means. Talk out loud with self. Draw diagrams to “explain and discuss with self” (I resort to this when abstracting real life interactions into code).
It's worst when a client wants something made but they lack they ability to visualize mental images (aphantasia). IMHO development of this as a child can carry to adulthood.
I drew a 3D cube for my brother in law once. He was like "How did you do that?", it made me think he just doesn't see mental images as I do.
Yes… I find many of the writers I most cherish are ones who help put into words things I’ve felt my whole life. Having help to verbalize is incredibly helpful. Even just the invitation to sit down and think through.
In coding, quite a bit of work is brainstorming with clients to clarify requirements. Frequently we end up discussing more than software design — because talking about it helps them stop and think about how humans in their company interact with each other, and what sort of interactions they wish to enforce / discourage / encourage / etc.
Your cube story reminds me of this.

I liked the part in the post where it was the post.
It was a really enjoyable anime might rewatch it
Ngl, I want that door now.
NPC aah comment
...just say ass. It doesn't sound dumb, and it's as many letters as what you typed.
Yeah duck this bad sounding censoring ! B)
Yo, what the fuck? You can say the d-word here! What if a child were to read your comment? Do you know what d-words do to each other?
Bro, the way you used 'ahh' already says enough about who's really sounding like an NPC here.
OK, they got me at the end that was funny
Not to be a Debbie-downer, but the handle would've ended up upside-down. I know it got invisibly fixed for the sake of the skit but I couldn't help notice.
No, the handle started upside down in the first setup. So it's correct that it would end up pointing down after rotating.
Oh, wait, you're right! Ha! Joke's on me. Somehow, my brain totally re-imagined what I had seen!
Silly ol' brain back at it again
No you are not crazy, look when he closes them.
Actually, the handles seem to lock in either up or down position. As he started the one on the right up and ended it in down position before removing the window.
Yeah, true. You beat my "um, actually".
Those were my initial thoughts too, I install windows for a living and often that's the first major tip off that either I grabbed the wrong window serial number, or the wrong window was ordered for that opening.
However after rewatching the first part, I see that the handle can latch up or down
When European windows latch up they aren't closed, but open vertically with a small gap for ventilation. They probably switched the window out for the skit
Bro talking about "European windows" as though we only have one type of window unit which is installed uniformly in every single building across the continent
well they are common in Europe and not in America..
I mean, I only see them in Europe.
I'd be the first one to get annoyed at USA defaultism, but "European windows" is a pretty common term to refer to, well, this style of windows that have a ventilation latch. Having lived and traveled across Europe this is what I've seen most of the time.
I think that's the primary punch line, with the door then doing the one-upper.
When the handle is on the outside he turns it horizontal to open it as well. There's so many continuation errors I was taken right out of it.
2/10.

Basically, the same thing happened to my dad lol, he has a masters in engineering and practically built our family house and our cottage on his own.
He was making a wardrobe for me and my brother around 10 years ago, and had a panel which was similar to the window in the video (like the orientation of it). He was struggling for way too long to figure out the right way to turn it lmao, but he eventually managed to do it. I guess it just happens sometimes, your brain isn't always working like it's supposed to.
I'm glad he fixed it, my OCD was skyrocketing
Is this the earphones guy ?
Reminds me of polish stopmotion cartoon Sąsiedzi
This is soo fking stupid I love it
that was good ngl
Bro thinks he is mat and pat cartoon

Was going - what is unexpected about this....oh
Unexpected since I was expecting someone to get thrown out.
I kinda liked the second one!!
Hahaa, that totally got me 😂 great misdirect
Ok that was unexpected
And magically the knob turned himself the other way
isnt this the computer shop guy?

"Just rotate it upside down" motherfuckers, when it's german windows that can half open with a tilt
Not only German, I think. Most of Europe, from what I know, has those kinds of windows)
They were very prevalent in eastern France, Switzerland and Austria as well. They are fabulous and I wish they were more common in the US market, though I know they lack bug screens so perhaps I wouldn't be as thrilled with them here.
What is the issue with bug screens? They look like this in this type of windows: https://www.neuffer.de/sites/de/files/img/options/l/insect-protection-tenter.jpg
Yeah, there are a few options for bug screens, all equally fine!
News to me. In all my years of living in Europe, not once did I ever see one of these casement windows with a bug screen. They are not common in my experience, though I admit I haven't been there in a few years so perhaps that's changed?
They are not common in cities. But if you walk through a random village, you might see quite a few of them.
They're just not common, but nothing prevents you from installing them, it's literally a 10 minute job. I honestly have no idea why, once I moved out I installed bug nets pretty much everywhere, my family for some reason used these Raid plug-in mosquito repellents instead
Bug nets are perfectly fine to install, honestly the main issue I have with European windows is that if you're using a mobile AC unit (AC being pretty damn rare in European homes as well) it's a bit of a PITA to seal, and forget mobile split units. Simple sliding-style windows have a bit of an edge in that regard, but I'd still prefer European windows probably
It's all fun and games till you put some washers in backwards with a hammer and the shuttle blows up >,.<
I got anxiety watching this
Hilarious 😂
Reminded me of my builder buddy who has window lickers working for him. Walked in on my remodel and they buried all the electrical outlets behind the drywall. Then proceeded to tell me, don’t worry we’ll roto saw them open, we can see the bumps. Then they chewed up the wiring in several with the roto tool.
Man, I’d personally love to have a door like that. :V
😂😂😂
What song is playing? It's lovely.
Music is wrong - needs "Yackity Sax".
Long Live Benny Hill!
Njet problem, njormal catastrophe
Flipped the handle magically
The door got me good
Lol this is way too accurate
The door is not practical at all
Lowkey want a 2d revolving door
Sorry, glad he sloved it but the two handles being just a tad uneven is driving me nuts lol
Gotta make them wide enough to push people out of.
Ahh that was a good chuckle
Pat&Mat
Aren't windows supposed to open outwards?
That's a cultural thing.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/1l0mnkg/which_way_do_european_windows_open/
Huh. Interesting.
Easier to defenestrate your political enemies

The solution was literally impossible, thats why the final placement was edited. Think again.
[deleted]
That's a great representation of chirality.
The windows are chiral, so you cannot turn a 'right handed' window into a 'left-handed' one. Whereas the door is non-chiral, since you could turn it into its own mirror image by rotating it upside down.
It turns out that he had the correct windows all along, but if he had brought two right-handed ones (like he seems to have assumed at first), then he could never have installed them to open up towards the center without having the handle upside-down on one.
I don't get how the door is non-chiral? Wouldn't the handle also end up upside-down?
It seems to be a knob rather than a handle, which has no 'up' or 'down'.
These types of windows are popular not only in Germany
