I sleep next to 22 tarantulas & 8 jumping spiders every night and I used to suffer from arachnophobia but I cured that by getting a cute jumping spider. A year later and I'm starting my tarantula army.
I always panic when I see spiders, but especially when itās a jumping spider. The fact that it can use other ways to move than walk, or could even jump in my face just terrifies me
Theyāre supposedly fairly intelligent, like they can remember people (or peopleās faces, I canāt remember). For me, knowing theyāre smart and not just jumping all over like a dumb dumb, made me less bothered by them.
Thatās great to hear you cured your fear of spiders by getting a spider! Iām going to use that same energy to cure my fear of āreplying to dumbass reddit postsā by replying to this post.

There was once a spider in my room that would follow me around the room, but it was on the ceilingā¦ so it was always just above me even when I slept. I dunno why but I got the sense it was friendly and let him live out his life. Odd but memorable!
