Doesn’t look like the glass goes up that high but if they over tightened the hardware of the oven door, it could have pinched the glass below and started a crack. That’s totally possible.
Or if they used any kind of hammer or was pounding on the handle to make it fit. That impact could reverberate through the door and created micro cracks in the glass. But same if the dog ran into it, kid hit it with a toy, someone kicked it to close the oven door, all those can cause micro cracks. Like a chip in a windshield and with the right conditions, shatter.

im gonna blame general electric company first and me second then because
the microwave handle broke off so he replaced it with a homemade rig
then after seeing the microwave, i said he needs to do the oven handle and fridge handle to make them all match; begrudgingly, he did it
so there is a chance that had i just mound my own business this oven would be in tact as we speak
if i had an undo button in real life, i would undo recommending all handles match
