what's up with that tinderbox retaining wall? looks like a fire hazard
We didn't know the wall was even there. One of the previous owners in the late 1980's did that according to our neighbors.
Finally a post that properly fits this sub.
Sorry for your loss, that really sucks.
Thank you. I'm so relieved nothing else caught fire. A little bit of the front yard but luckily that was it.
Damn that sucks
Time to make a hobbit hole. EDIT: OPE, I thought that was elevated, looking at the 1st pic, my bad and my condolences. That 3rd pic is rough 😬🥺
Looks like you will be getting a few new shrubs for that spot and reseeding a large latch of lawn
That's what insurance is for.
If they have yard and garden coverage. However if not the home policy is written specifically for the home. The yard is not the home and so default not covered. Now if they call and ask their insurance if that's covered then they're admitting something happened which then has to be recorded and when they shop will show up as non-chargeable claim or no pay out. OP don't call your insurance on this one if the home is not damaged.
Tell us you know fuck all about homeowners insurance without telling us you know fuck all about homeowners insurance.
There are different types of coverage. My homeowners basically only covers the cost if someone gets hurt on my property and sues me. Fire isn't under my plan. Flood is entirely separate and expensive.
What a wonderful time to be alive when insurance can grow shrubs.
I'm really sorry, I hope it grows back :)
Thanks. The juniper was planted way back in 1989.
