How quickly can the Presidential Seal or any decal be placed / removed on Commercial Airliners?

The President of the Republic of the Philippines, whenever traveling on a chartered PAL Plane, has the Presidential Seal on both Left and Right Doors at the front.

My Question is how quickly can those Seals be placed / removed ? PAL planes go back to commercial business after the Presidential Flight and How quickly can you place those if say the President of the Philippines wants to go as soon as possible?

Any insights on how those are placed? Thanks

Very quickly. We’d do vinyl wraps on entire planes that would take a couple of shifts, at most, so something like that is probably an hour or so to prep it and stick it.

Are they reusable? Like can you remove them without damaging them?

I can’t imagine they would be, at least the ones that we were applying or removing weren’t. In our case they were pretty well stuck to the paint and then had a clear coat applied over.

Nah you're right not even auto wraps are not reuseable. To the best of my knowledge all vinyl wraps are pretty much one and done.

they do have some for racing numbers but they can only really be reused a couple of times if you are careful

Probably not. I know some uber-like taxi companies have magnetic logos available for cars that can be quickly removed, but I am not sure whether they would hold up in the air.

Magnetic logos would definitely fly off. Would also be very dangerous if it were to be sucked into an engine

I find it interesting that an entire airplane can be vinyl wrapped

Are you based in the US? There was a lot of discourse around Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal and whether or not they wrapped the plane or removed the logos digitally. If you have seen it I would love to hear your opinion.

I am, and it’s on my to-watch list but I haven’t seen it yet. I’m assuming they made the plane unbranded and the question is how they did it? If you know of any clips I can take a look and make a WAG.

Very quickly it’s just vinyl wrap. It’s like putting on a big sticker but you have to be sure to get all the air bubbles out.

minutes.

About 20 minutes to put on, including about 10 walking to and from the airplane. Taking it off takes a bit longer

During overnight maintenance, or during an extended turn, depending on the urgency

It takes like an hour, nobody needs overnight maintenance for this. Just have someone do it an hour before hand
