I decided to clear out hall of fame on king before moving over to 7. Hopefully it took long enough. Have they sorted out all the bugs yet?

If you uninstall Civ6 you will lose all that progress by the way.

Biggest mistake with Civ6 is your progress is saved locally and not uploaded to the steam cloud......

wtf? Thats so ridiculous in the age of huge games and small console storage.

You still have your steam achievements though which still serves as a leader checklist

Ngl, kinda wish your biggest city and religion had better names than stock

The only times I renamed something in civ is religion in multiplayer with friends to spread cheeks and now in civ7 I rename my island settlements in the modern era when they become useless so I can trade them for peace easily

Fair.

On the other hand what's in a name? A rose by any other name smells just as sweet.

I didn't do all of this with Civ 6, but I did play it to the point where I just can't anymore. I'm currently on 7 and I love it, but it also needs to be fleshed out which will come. I don't think I could go back to 6 even though it is the more complete game right now.

Lol. I'm doing this with 7 before I get to play 6 again hahaha.

Warrior is simultaneously your strongest and weakest unit...the duality of Civ.

I like many other millenials use the big screen for big tasks and the small screen for small tasks.

I use my phone for Reddit and my computer for Epic gaming

Can't buy 7 until you win every victory with every leader on diety. Fraxis makes you submit your screenshots.

I’ve been playing since launch and it’s only gotten better. It still has a ways to go before it’s as good as 6 but 6 has the benefit of 2 expansions and a lot of tweaking.

Some good things about the state of 7: you can customize which legacy paths are on or off, as well as which crises are enabled or disabled. You can mix and match difficulty sliders (maybe you want the AI to have big combat strength bonuses but normal science and culture). Mod support is officially available and the UI mods are very solid and helpful. The design team is listening to player feedback very intently and making several changes and patches as fast as they can. Most leader/civ combos feel strong enough to take on deity, allowing you to find your style and experiment.

What is lacking: age transitions are still rough. Legacy paths are still rather one dimensional. Religion and ideology are one dimensional. Victory feels sudden. These are all things that will take longer to iron out, as they are systemic rather than simply a numbers game.

On the whole, I’m still enjoying 7. Give it a shot. If you don’t like it, refund it and come back in a year.

Most Sane comment I’ve read about 7. I’ve loved it since launch too!

As someone who has and is currently playing civ 7. I'd say wait a bit until more dlc releases.

Have you tried the civ 6 mods yet?

Highly recommend the new Civ7 mods on Steam, they add a whole new light to the neglected UI.

What are those mods?

There are several, ultimately you can just find them on the Civ7 Steam Workshop. I didn’t memorise them all by name but one of them is map tacks, and a bunch that just smoothen and clean up the UI. And there’s a world relations web mod like there was in VI.

Yes map tracks are superb also policy yield previews!

LeonardFactory's Policy Yields is GOAT. It's like Extended Policy Cards for 6.
